yes. we approve.

she knows what he's like, she's seen his very worst.
she's not playing ostrich, she's just made the choice you wouldn't.
he's not violent or dangerous or abusive to the woman he's with.
she seems genuinely happy when they're together (footy matches aside).
distance is always a hurdle, but less so these days than ever before.

the choice of two people to make themselves a happy life together shouldn't be swayed by anyone else. there is not enough real, genuine love in the world, so if two people feel it they should move heaven and earth to make it happen. anyone worth their time will want them to be happy.

They are both sort of in my peripheral, so I can't comment to the match and it's suitability or potential longevity. However, LDR's of that magnitude can't be easy to sustain and I hope they both can make each other happy while maintaining a realistic awareness of the pitfalls.

All in all, our collective opinion should mean diddly squat to them.
