I don't celebrate Valentine's Day. So, it pretty much was like any other day.

wow! where do I start? this morning,woke up,no eggs or ice cream or mushrooms to make an omlete and shake.went to store,piece of shit brother shows up and we argue over bs.im cutting shrooms at time and have big knife in hand.neighbor sees this as she walks by,and calls cops.later,i go visit a friends mom and show my respects to her,her son died last week.i gave her some money to help.i had my 1 yr old puppy with me.not 5 minutes later.her other sons pitbull comes charging by me and starts tossing my poor puppy around by the neck like a ragdoll.i thought for sure,he killed her. we got him off of her finally,but just before that,as I tried to grab her leash,she clamped onto my left hand and didn't let go till my hand slid off like melting butter.she has tiny bite marks, but is ok. me, i just got back from ER.10 stitches in 3 holes.and no pain meds or rabie shot.nice huh?anyways ,I got at least 1,maybe 2 weeks off work,no pay.had to cancel valentines with my ex wife.sorry honey. anyways,how was everybody elses valentines day?hope it was better than mine.happy valentines day everybody!

Get her a single flower just because it's a sunny day or she's having a bad day and see that love expand geometrically more than if you bought her a dozen roses for Valentine's Day!

Just because you do things though out the year doesn't mean you can't do something on Valentine's day. You don't have to do the "normal" roses and candy thing, but why not make her feel special just like everyone around her that is celebrating?
Because 'special' is just an illusion.

It was generally fairly good.
When to a museum exhibit in the morning, was taken to lunch, picked up books on hold at the library, made a successful dessert for tonight's party.
Went to party/dinner. Saw a lot of friends I haven't seen in a while, some out of the cities, dinner was great, there was food for me, people liked my dessert, lots of good conversation.
Very cold feet when leaving, painfully cold.
Came home to frozen pipes, thawed pipes.
Saw Bent's post on Byron and thought about all the stuff I wished I had saved somehow.
Wished he was here tonight so I could ask him to be my valentine and hear him happily laugh and say "as long as I can wear my boots" or some such silly thing.
It wasn't a big deal holiday for us, we had every day.

Oh the details, okay food:
Lunch
Curried chicken salad with cauliflower, currants and apples
Dinner
Some weird ass salad I couldn't eat with candied walnuts, mandarin oranges, lettuce, beets, goat cheese and a pepper based sweet vinaigrette. I had lettuce, goat cheese and beets.
Crudites- I threw some in my salad
GF seafood pizza with cheese- didn't and couldn't eat it
Seafood pasta DG and GF. Seafood was crabs, lobster, and shrimp. Didn't and couldn't eat it
Roast beef with mushrooms, roasted carrots and potatoes. This was tasty.
Dessert
Mine
Baked marshmallows, dark chocolate sauce, all sorts of sliced fruit and I don't remember it all. I had this, but I skipped the mango slices, allergic.
All sorts of alcohol- ciders, liquors, mixed drinks, sparkling stuff. I had filtered water
While thawing the pipes I had some Cadbury mini eggs. That was a mistake.
I have probably forgotten something.
