essentially what i think it'd be is, the gb's version of the pg.

much like, the bdsm board has a bdsm cafe, the ht board has a ht cafe, the personals has a pg. like, a little sub-board aside from the main business of whatever that board is about, that is for general conversation.

that sounds redundant if you presume that the general board IS about general conversation, except i think the proposition is that the GB is not. the GB is not about conversation, it is about vicious crazy brawlfests, massive bursts of racism interspersed with fluff. and that is fine. i love the GB and i love that it is unmoderated. i am definitely AGAINST changing this GB in any way.

but if we were to give the GB a sub board - its own moderated version - then the people who don't want to constantly be bombarded with "YOU DIRTY NIGGER GO DIE" can go there, still be in the company of GB PEOPLE and NOT PG people - and have conversations about whatever the fuck they want without having hate speech everywhere all the time.

Newcomers to the GB, if they find they don't like the massive raging brawfest constantly can pop over there too.

I totally get that. The political forum had the option of being a gb sub-forum too, I think.

But I would never post there. I don't see it getting much traffic because for every one person complaining about the GB, a hundred wouldn't want to change a thing.

I absolutely adored Lint. It was a pleasant place, and it felt safe. It's where folks went to share more private or detailed parts of their lives. I didn't find that dull, at all.
