Quick question today and it's one I'm always interested in. I may have even asked before when I was interim thread king.

Guilty pleasures... What are yours? Here at Lit. And in your everyday life. What draws you in that you wish you could steer clear of, but you just can't? Bad music (Nickelback? Bad TV (Family Guy)? Bad food (Kraft Mac N Cheese)? Stupid threads? Ridiculous Listers?

I don't feel guilty lurking on some pic threads, and I don't feel guilty posting in some either. Actually there is not much I feel guilty about.

The bad TV shows I watch make me grin and sometimes lol. Or shiver (Hoarders and the likes) and then a quick look around my apartment gives me a very, very good feeling!

Bad food: I don't indulge in it, but when I do eat it, I indulge in it. Sometimes a cheap frozen pizza with a bit of extra cheese (which usual is a small piece left in the fridge which no-one has wanted to eat for a day or two) is awesome.

Stupid threads: I even post in those.

Ridiculous Litsters: if "consumed" in smaller doses, they are fun. Just like the bad TV shows.

What I sometimes do feel guilty about is spending money on Harlequin's products. But sometimes I just crave to read a cheesy novel.

I really don't have a Lit guilty pleasure, other than maybe the time I seem to be giving it lately. But it's fun and I enjoy the thought provoking threads.

In life, maybe eating that last piece of king cake in the break room this morning, but it was Randazzo's so I feel more smug than guilty.

Hmmm getting lost on Tumblr and then posting what I find in the Yard. I don't feel guilty for it though.... I looooooove it :)
I can get drawn into a threadjack quite easily :D occassionally I feel guilty? Ehhh no I love that too hehe.
I looooove Nickelback. Pmann don't you say A WORD!!! :p or I shall kick yer balls off that schtick!!!
I do like to follow meltdowns on Lit I do feel guilty sometimes for following the thread. But I'm a nosey person I can't help myself sometimes.

^^^^
I kid, of course.

I have loads of guilty pleasures. But I want to preface this by saying I'm the classiest guy here, so please do not misunderstand. I'm amazing and incredibly classy. Class oozes from ever orifice. You all know that. Look at my scepter. It screams class.

Movies: Mean Girls. I love the hell out of that movie. Oh man it's so good. That's right, it's amazing. In fact, I watched it yesterday. Plus, those were the days of old when Lindsay Lohan wasn't a coke addict and was quite beautiful.

Music: Last Christmas by George Michael. It's my favourite part of Christmas.

TV: Some reality shows from days past. I loved pretty much every one of those ridiculous reality shows where they tried to find Bret Michaels a wife. No, not a wife. A whore.

Lit: I love the threads where people get in arguments. They are so amusing.

Listers: There is one particular GB lister whose posts I avidly follow because he's so incredibly entertaining. But sadly, I'm coming to the conclusion he's an alt. :(

I know it seems like k enjoy a lot of shit. But fuck you guys. I'm classy. I masturbate with my pinky extended and drink a nice black tea after.

Laaast christmas, I gave you my heaart and the verry next daay, you gave it awaay, so thiiiis year, to save me from teaars, I'll give it to some one SPecial, special,

Darn! Now that will echo through my mind for the rest of the night!

You're welcome.

Lit guilty pleasures: Passive aggressive dear Litster/dear x threads - they're a good time and I love watching the drama that can unfold from there. Oh, and taking and posting naked selfies purely for the attention I get from men.

Real life guilty pleasures: Dance Moms, real housewives of Beverly Hills, trashy romance novels, Dots candy. Although that last one has pulled out a crown. Wasn't pretty.

Lit/Real life crossover guilty pleasure: Skype sex :D

Kraft Mac and Cheese, George Michael, Skype Sex, Hoarders, Nickelback...

Damn. You people have some awful taste.

Okay, here is a question that I have...

I hear lots of people refer to "the cool kids". Who the fuck are they? Most of you are going to say my name, which I get. Because I'm cool as ice. But aside from me. When people refer to the cool kids, who is that? You don't have to be specific in naming them. But are they the people with lots of posts? The people with hoards of admirers (ahem)? People with awesomely hot pic threads (ahem)?

Guilty pleasures.

I tend not to feel guilty about the things that bring me pleasure. Such a waste of time. I try not to dwell on why it makes me feel conflicted, this way it keeps me out of my therapist's chair.

Bad music? Hah. If *you* don't like it, it's bad music. I do like some Nickelback. Don't want to hear it! Not talking about it. *shaking my head*

Bad TV? I used to watch reality TV back in the day. I used to not miss an episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians. I used to love watching when Kim would cry. *laughing hysterically* Her expression-less face because of botox would remain the same. I stopped watching it years ago because it's disgusting and tiresome. How could that family be so famous for not having any talent whatsoever except for being media whores?

Bad food? Is chocolate considered bad? Well, then I'm extremely guilty of it. I do have a penchant for Cheetos. I will concede to sometimes having orange fingers. Do I feel guilty? No, not really. I just know that I will pay for having indulged in that later. I also love sushi. When I travel, I am always looking for good places to have sushi.

Stupid threads? Yep. When I do have the time to spare, I will go through and read the threads. There are Litsters whose posts I do enjoy reading. They are insightful, funny and thought provoking. Some of them are my friends, some of them are not. I steer clear of the fights and the drama that ensues around here but I do sit in the corner and watch. It's like having my very own reality TV. Hah.

Ridiculous Litsters? Ummmmm ... *looking at pmann*

I plead the fifth. :D

I have no idea on the cool kid front because I have never noticed it here on the PG. Maybe it is on other parts of the board. Everyone here has always been friendly. That's what I love about the PG. *Shrugs*

Guilty Pleasures...

Movies: I like porn, a lot. We have a subscription to playboy because I wanted it, not because my hubs did.

Music: I love, love, love country music and when I fall in love with a new song I will download the MP3 on my phone and listen to it on repeat until my kids beg me to stop. My kids can sing every word to songs they shouldn't like Girl Crush.

Books: I read a lot. So far this year I have read 16 books. They are all erotic romances.

Lit: I love when threads go off topic and threads that make me laugh. I tend to post the most on HYE.

Food: I eat really well 99% of the time but if I am having a really crappy day and I want to indulge myself I turn to nachos from Taco Casa. The faux-cheese like liquid is divine and they pile it high with beef, beans, tomatoes, sour cream and lots and lots of jalapenos. *Sigh*

Oh yeah. Nachos. I stay clear of that too, but I LOVE it.

The cool kids. Those with hoards of admirers. They are here. Sometimes they even have awesomely hot pic threads, or wonderful threads. Some thrive on the fact they are cool. But I think most are just kind and caring people who made a lot of friends who follow them around.

I am not being sarcastic. I truly think most of the people who we (I) perceive as cool, who are popular, are so because of their character. Or because of the part of their character they choose to show here.

Cliqueness has subdued a bit over the last few months though, I think.

My next follow up question is why do people like Nickelback????

Cool kids?

You don't know who the cool kids are? Everyone knows who the cool kids are! *grin*

(I don't know who they are really as I don't really pay that much attention to that stuff around here)

Pfffffttttt ... pmann. Don't act as if you don't like Nickelback yourself.

Ridiculous Litsters would be my guilty pleasure. Poking at them, encouraging their ridiculousness and drama.

This term makes me bristle. I've no idea who they are but I have some idea on people who think they are. I don't understand this need for people to attain or strive to be a part of something to feel included.

My next follow up question is why do people like Nickelback????

I don't know, you go first.

Be glad you had to google Nickelback.

I agree with AG. I think there are those who are considered cool. Oddly, I think some of them are fuckwits. They think I'm a fuckwit too, so I'm okay with that.

I think there are different types of people here. Some like me. Some don't. I like some. Dislike others.

There are those super elite people you never think you could get though... Damn they are cool.

I'll leave you with that song. I totally have a crush on that girl. Then I found out she was 17. Whoops. And I typically like older girls. Whatever. I'm not a pedo so hush. She's just cute and it's a neat song.

She is cute so you are only semi-pedo. ;)

Where is our question? Have you fallen and can't get it up?

Oops!!! I was a bad thread king. I forgot.

I will ask a new one tomorrow. Until then, discuss how cute that girl is or something.

My guilty pleasure: The cool ridiculous kids. They seem to pop up with the same nonsense over and over, and somehow their groupies flock to them. It's one of life's/Lit's mysteries.
