Forget 'Deflate-gate', Seattle's All-Universe defense or whether this is the best team Belichick has ever had, just pick your winner.

I wanna do it because I don't know from sportsball so it would be hilarious if I won, but I don't know the names of the teams. Even the sports people in my culture do basketball rather than football. Somebody tell me the teams that are playing so I can pick one at random. I'd have a 50/50 shot either way, right?

Vegas in choosing Seahawks 8 - 2 I think. So, I will go with the underdog and go for the Pats.

Sorry, Sinny. :cattail:

Wait, am I right about the Vegas odds? I thought I knew this stuff and read that the Seahawks are the favorite.

I'm sure they are betting all this distraction will put them off their game. It is a possibility..but I think Brady wants to win this then retire.

Pats

I'm always in favor of alliteration, but since I really don't care, that's how I voted.

As a frustrated Pats fan...

Seattle

Truth be told the NFL cannot let BB win with this nonsense.

Watch for phantom PI calls against the Pats and nothing called on Seattle.

Too bad BB brought us to this because played straight up its a great match up.

Imagine Goodell's nightmare of putting the Lombardi in BB's hands amidst 10's of thousands of booing fans...isn't going to happen

lol

Because the best thing NFL can do do with this scandal is to create another, bigger scandal - one that calls into question the very heart of the NFL - to over-shadow 'Deflate-gate'.

The problem is, this is a media driven story.
Until the NFL rules on this, everything else is here say.

Belichik says he is cooperating, Brady says he knew nothing about it.

I believe 3 of the touchdowns were scored on Running plays. They also held the Colts to just 7 points.
Do you thing de-flated balls were responsible for all that?

You're right, but how smart is this commissioner?

And...the backlash would be Pat's fans screaming conspiracy and the rest of football going "how does it feel?"

Now as far as would they/could they?

Well let's go back to that flag that was picked up in Detroit Dallas...

THis summer Dean Blandino (the VP of officiating for the NFL) was filmed getting off the Dallas Cowboys party bus with Stephen Jones and a half dozen skanks and heading into a club with more skanks....

Then the flag was picked up to save Dallas's season.....hmmmm

Now a week later amidst a lot of "are you kidding" around the media and everyone not a Cowboys fan"......the refs use a very tight interpretation of a rule to take away a catch by Bryant (the call was technically correct, but when do you see it?) again hmmm....

So its not like it can't or won't be done.

This story is only a story because of BB's past history. Look there is not one player or coach or ex player that has said anything other than "Everyone does it and its not that big of a deal."

Now though the real pain is being caused by the NFL"s incompetency. 5 days and they can't reacha decision? 5 days and you have not talked to Brady?

By letting it go without saying "they cheated/they did not cheat" they have destroyed the entire time leading up tot eh superbowl, a loss for the Pats players, the Hawks players and all the fans.

It sucks its my team involved, but very fitting that the end of this season continues to expose the commissioner of this league as a fucking joke.

Its also been noted in multiple places that its too bad more people care about this than Ray Rice beating his wife and Peterson beating his kid and the fact the number one draft pick this year will most likely be a kid already accused of rape and arrested for stealing.

Go Roger!

As a Giants fan (rest of football group), I won't be saying "how does it feel". I'd be saying, "Is the NFL going to target my team next?"

Correlation does not imply causation.

Plus, as you say, the call was technically correct. That is where the argument should end.

If anything, the argument should be why refs are lax all the other times.

So its not like it can't or won't be done.

It won't be done. The most profitable sports league isn't going to jeopardize its revenue stream, its non-profit standing with the tax man and draw the ire of millions of fans just to punish one franchise when taking away a draft pick or 3 and censure for the Coach and owner accomplishes justice.

And, THAT is when the rest of the league gets to say, "how does it feel?"

As much as I don't like Seattle and Pete Carroll, I dislike the Hoodie even more. He can't be that unaware of what is happening on his football team. He is so meticulous with everything, yet he plays dumb when it comes to video taping and under inflated footballs.

I really wanted The Packers in it but Bostick couldn't do his job which was to block on that onside kick.

Pats

I would totally agree with this. If Brady wins, I think he'll give some serious thought to retiring. Along the same lines, I think Manning will retire after next year.
