Why do you hate NWA?

Because we didn't get the National Wrestling Alliance here in upstate NY. We received WWWF matches.

It's one of three things my father and I could agree on when it came to tv. Motor racing -NASCAR, Indy, motorcross, drags, etc - and bowling were the other two.

I can't bowl. The first time I went was the last. I slid right down the alley. :cattail:

It's in my genes:

Mother and father bowled
Paternal grandmother bowled.
Paternal grandfather and two of his brothers bowled semi-professionally.

I bowled competitively from 6 to 14. As a high school senior, a cousin and I were placed on our school's team "auxiliary list," meaning we were eligible for post-season play - league, class, sectionals, states - if we qualified by beating two who were already on the team, or others who challenged us. He averaged 211 for the four games, while I was just 201.

I can't step into alleys now without being uber-competitive, though it's mostly against myself.

My father was a pro bowler. Top of the American Bowling Congress for a short while.

Back in the fifties.
