starting a bit late

still here

sun shone today

bright and clear

there was a truck with deer hooves sticking out the back of the pickup in front of us for a good 50 miles or so.

i was told that was in bad taste and the people hunting were not true hunters, because true hunters cut onsite and then cooler the meat, before transporting. i don't know who is the truer hunter anymore.

On the way to Vermont, I was behind a truck with the whole deer strapped in with the antlers hanging off the tailgate.

I have no problem with hunting, but if you don't know how to transport the body, then you don't need to touch one.

I was behind it for so long I was able to get a pic of it.

Just in case there were any zombie deer stories later in the day.

When I lived in Georgia, my subdivision was close to some massive powerlines. Deer used to use the power line right of way as an "underground railroad" when they travelled south in the wintertime.

One day there was a massive, and I do mean MASSIVE, dead buck by the side of the road. I've never seen a rack of antlers that large. I saw it as I was leaving for work. Coming home, I saw Billy Bob Knuckledragger cutting the deer's head off with a chainsaw. *shaking head*

I don't know if it was in bad taste but it'd probably taste bad if it wasn't gutted soon after it was killed. Hung up once you can get to a cold source.

That's how they smoke the meat - with exhaust.

The only thing that has to be done to a deer asap is gutting it, the innards can taint the meat. It's totally normal for some to field dress, pack the cavity with ice, then take it home for the rest of the work.

i have a pic of the truck w/licensee and hooves.

#state law?

the last time i saw her was christmas eve. lots of people were over. she ran hissing.

i understand pissed off.

how long can she last out there.

i had a husky found in summer. kept in home.

he ran off.

vaccinations.

balls cut.

he was a runner, and i knew it when i saw him.

we loved him.

tango.

Deer used to have to be taken to a DNR check station but it is being switched to online registration in a lot of states.

Mostly intact.

detox day one.

lethargic.

no coffee. no sugar. no gluten. no booze. no processed meats. no highly saturated fats.

one cup yerba mate.

greens.

vitamins.

roasting chicken for dinner.

my gut is going to be so squeaky clean.

the first 2-3 days are the worst, then energy is supposed to come back. you pretty much get off every possible inflammatory food/drink and cleanse your body. after ten days, you can slowly add things back in and see how your body reacts.

only things I eat that are mentioned above are sugar, chicken and greens.

with me all I eat when testing are lamb, pears and rice.

once my energy comes back, i need to clean out my cabinets. i am taking lots of vitamins and drinking a meal supplement. it's a focus on gut health. i am surprisingly full right now. not hungry at all. headache is not bad. lots of water. what kind of rice do you like?
