When reality fails you, deny the existence of it.
When the "Caller" or Breitbart fails you, go to the Moonie Times.![]()
For the Judicial branch to do what the Legislative branch should have done is also a violation of the separation of powers clause.
There is no "should have done" the legislative branch is empowered to write legislation, not required to do so, much less to the liking of the executive branch.
Democrats rightly used the power of the purse to shut down the Vietnam war specifically by refusing to authorize through legislation the very real needs that the commander in chief needed to prosecute a war in progress.
Of course they have a requirement to write legislation and yes to the "liking" of the executive branch. I swear this insanity really needs to stop at some point.
No they aren't required/made to write legislation. It is simply their responsibility to do it, as they have the power to introduce it. The president doesn't stand over Congress saying, "Make a law! Now!"
Your ignorance of the Constitution and government process is staggering.

I like the phrasing there, "responsibility." Their responsibility is to do the will of the specific people that elected that representative. Sometimes that means write a new law, sometimes that means repeal one, some times that means put the brakes on bad legislation from the other side. Republicans have both houses. It is not the "responsibility" of the Democrats to go along with every item the Republicans want. Some things the republicans want their voters do not and it is their responsibility to object, within the bounds their numbers allow.
He's getting more ornery every day. Reci must have sewed up her cunt.
Not as staggering as your ignorance of reality.
Which is the same thing, your arguing semantics at this point. It's a shame the President can't write legislation himself. Whoever came up with that needs to be brought back from the dead so he can be slapped around.
No, their responsibility is to run the country to the best of their ability not serve some magical will of the people. Sometimes it amounts to any of the things you've just mentioned but if it was the will of the people we'd just set up American Idol and call it a fucking day. There is literally nothing in this country that happens to quickly to wait until a few million Americans weigh in.
