Like Time Magazine is the least bit relevant.
It is the magazine most likely to remain after the others have been stolen from the doctor's office. So there is that.

So, we're going to debate the definition and connotations of the words you used. Gotcha. I'm outie.![]()

That you think Time Magazine is a news magazine is amusing.
In a nation where "anything goes" and "whatever you think is right something" has to go.
He has a common three letter name...starts with a capital G.
True, but the transgender community is so small and to me, it makes it so ridiculous
So you think that 1.5 million people being viewed as less than human means it makes sense that we should have a year long media crusade campaigning for their acceptance?
1.5 million people out of 320 million?
How many people live in poverty here and as such are also viewed as less than human? About 40 million. Where are the shows for them? Where are the magazine articles?
Nope, your theory does not hold up. It is something else.
When it is covered in preference over what is normal and main stream.
It's a quiet Sunday, I'm a little bored, so amusing people like you gives me a distinct if transitory pleasure.
It's like those old '60s-70s "documentaries" on nudism or sexual activities. If you frame it as "educational" or "human rights", you can cover all the salacious bits and people can watch feeling like they're being "educated" (or, back in those days, afraid they're going to get arrested for obscenity), and that watching makes them all open-minded and crap - when all they really want is to see what it looks like when you turn a penis inside out.

Are you really the best person to be making proclamations about what is normal?
I make no implication, of course.

The percentage of transgenders is 0.05% of the population or less.
And something you mentioned in the OP... I have NEVER understood why sports are segregated by gender. It's weird and totally sounds like something that should be illegal. If you can't compete against athletes regardless of gender, you have no business playing sportsball in the first place.
You have answered your own question. They're the rarest of all the human species, the one who's isolated and separated from the world. They're strange, people won't notice common issues. Hence, they will feed the news.
Because girls want to play games too, and would like to do so without winding up in the ICU.
Not all games are like that...but certainly the full contact ones. I guess that standard just carried over to the e z stuff like Tennis.
Oh wait nope...the meanest girls in Tennis even got fuckin' creamed so bad it wasn't even fun to watch.
Because it's sex-related, controversial, sensational, and thus sells magazines.
Gay/lesbian isn't edgy enough to grab the average supermarket shopper's eye anymore.
Everywhere? Especially right now, around the holidays. What are you talking about?

If you can't compete against athletes regardless of gender, you have no business playing sportsball in the first place. Psychology Today tackles that question and can't come up with a better reason than "Sexist bullshit" since actual gender differences among athletes are negligible it's a social segregation and not a physical one. So... idk. It's weird to mention that transgender women would somehow magically be good at sports. That's just... odd.
.
Then they don't need to play football at all. It's not like they're more likely to wind up in the ICU, that's what the article I linked to was about.
Men wind up in the ICU too.
They wouldn't be MORE hurt because they played with guys as long as they trained the same.
But apparently they also often aren't required to train the same... which is also weird.
Bt I don't know from sportsball. I don't play. I just know the studies done on human endurance and strength and whatnot don't show significant differences based on gender or biological sex, but they do show differences based on things like willingness to train.
You know... I guess that's something that we get from being raised in a democracy. "There are fewer of them. So fuck them." Is something that I think gets engrained in you from being raised thinking that you do what the majority wants, what's been voted in, even if it fucks everybody over. I'm not sure how you fix that, tho. Even as a little kid if you have a disagreement, the first thing you do is 'take a vote'. It's not really cool to take a vote on someone else's body.
Yo, BotanyBoy
I was almost finished answering you when my computer ate them.
I would like to know where all that stuff goes...it happens pretty often.
Anyway, Tough for now. Maybe later I'll do it all again.

For instance about that normal thingy.
Just so happens myself and thirty or so other people had a two hour discussion about what "Normal" might be.
What is "Normal" Depends on what Society accepts as the average result of a situation at particular place and time in history. Or as it is perceived by the masses due to the efforts of the media.
Since you asked.
So what you are saying is that people who are born men do not have a bigger body frame and more muscle mass than people who are born women? That physically, all things are equal?
Since when is 'reporting' or 'noting' the same as 'promoting?'
