Dead Kennedys... very nice.
Why is it not Kennedies, I wonder?
Because grammar=repression? Not sure either.
You're going to find that while poets may have a lot to say about politics, their posting time is more limited than the kooks who spend several hours a day cyber battling their arch enemies in an arena that will eventually be erased due to going out of business, database corruptions, etc.
We put a lot of effort into what we write and tend to frequent more than one establishment for diversity in feedback. I happen to be a member at least 4. I'd say 6, but 2 are real slow at the moment. Then there is my website where I publish my own stuff.
There is only so much time in the day to discuss and debate politics when and wherever real discussion and debate manifests.
In the form of a poem please.
All I got from that was you all desperately wanted a political forum that you have no time for? How is it you had time to be annoyed by political posts in the general board?
Interesting. I don't get advertised to, so I gather there is an Angela Davis Movie coming out or has?
Then I go over to GoFuckYourself to find poetic inspiration in the sissy fights over Birthing.
Dunno.
I was looking for the original GSH video recording, which is powerful, and stumbled across this version.
I like the way they updated it with current pop culture references.
I was looking at the suggested play list and thought maybe soundtrack?
I liked it. Not my usual genre but it was compelling.
These days the name would be GSR. People watch a lot of crime tv.The original was recorded in the late 60s or early 70s.
Some say it was the first rap song. (I disagree with that; Isaac Hayes and others were using similar techniques about that time.)
GSH was both a poet and a musician. And, as you can tell, very political.
