I figured since so many Poets voted for a political forum, they must have a lot to say on the subject. Thought I'd welcome them with a song. They can add the poetry as they get here.

I'm just a bill
An average ordinary bill
Here up on Capitol Hill
The Republicans keep trying to kill
And are at it still

The bill

the bill

up on the hill.

perhaps you've not heard?

They gave him a trill.

You're going to find that while poets may have a lot to say about politics, their posting time is more limited than the kooks who spend several hours a day cyber battling their arch enemies in an arena that will eventually be erased due to going out of business, database corruptions, etc.

We put a lot of effort into what we write and tend to frequent more than one establishment for diversity in feedback. I happen to be a member at least 4. I'd say 6, but 2 are real slow at the moment. Then there is my website where I publish my own stuff.

There is only so much time in the day to discuss and debate politics when and wherever real discussion and debate manifests.

In the form of a poem please.

All I got from that was you all desperately wanted a political forum that you have no time for? How is it you had time to be annoyed by political posts in the general board?

If you find yourself blocked
whilst crafting of words,
hesitate not to invoke.
I have words to spare.

Poets are, of course, the unacknowledged legislators of the world. Naturally they will wish to be involved with political discussion.

Oh, I forgot ...... I also have to put my poetry up on my Pinterest page.

And then I have to put porn up on my Pinterest page to offset the reality that few people read my poetry.

You got those impressions?

Huh .....

(sung to the the tune of 'White Christmas')

I'M DREAMING OF WHITE PRIVILEGE
JUST LIKE THE WAY IT USED TO BE.
WHEN THE COLOREDS LISTENED...

Okay, that's all I've got so far.

Interesting. I don't get advertised to, so I gather there is an Angela Davis Movie coming out or has?

Dunno.

I was looking for the original GSH video recording, which is powerful, and stumbled across this version.

I like the way they updated it with current pop culture references.

I was looking at the suggested play list and thought maybe soundtrack?

I liked it. Not my usual genre but it was compelling.

The original was recorded in the late 60s or early 70s.

Some say it was the first rap song. (I disagree with that; Isaac Hayes and others were using similar techniques about that time.)

GSH was both a poet and a musician. And, as you can tell, very political.

These days the name would be GSR. People watch a lot of crime tv.
