The statistics are based on verifiable math, but your interpretation of the statistics is always open to discussion, especially considering how often your interpretations are specious and arbitrary.

Let me give you an example:

  • President Obama got a majority of the votes of single women in both 2008 and 2012 (Fact)
  • President Obama is black (Fact)
  • President Obama is a male (Fact)
  • All males have cocks (Fact)
  • Ishmael Conclussion (sic): "the majority of single women in America want black cock" (opinion)
 
So, give your alternate interpretation of the facts outlined in the original post.
 
He sure likes to construct arguments about why the other person is unqualified to argue, but rarely seems to get around to making a point of his own.

When he does, he usually articulates it fine. It's a weird style of being argumentative.

Well, KO, thats probably a fair point of view. I think it is accurate to say that many in the black community feel that the police presense and some of their interactions with the officers were at a minimum oppressive.

Just as Doctors must first "Do no harm." I think it is not at all unreasonable for a community to insist that the prime Directive for their police department that is there to serve them do no harm. That is a little broad but I do not think any police department would disagree that a worthy goal is "Do no harm" to any person. Not a scrape, not a face on the asphalt, and for sure not a death.

I think it not at all unreasonable for civilians to take part in reviews of all incidents where they fall short of harming no one.

So. KO, All that said. to what degree do you personally think that an average police department victimizes persons it is supposed to serve and to what degree do they prevent victims.

Is it almost a wash? Does it lean one way or the other? What do you think?

You never said they should be dead, but you said they weren't law-abiding, which they were & the police that shot them (ironically) were not.

I'll wait while you go back & remove the unnecessary apostrophe.

Did you really miss my point?

The point I was making was that speeding, like most people do, equates to selling cigarettes on the street and is way more serious than jaywalking. Unlike those two incidents, in which the racial aspects for some are still in dispute, you could be the victim of a police officer who should not be a police officer for a variety of reasons.

Your point was pointless. If you fail to comply with lawful orders given by the police you're going to be in for grief. It's just that simple. They are going to subdue you one way or another. The police enforce the laws, it is the courts where you make your arguments concerning 'justice.'

If you choose to stand around and argue with the cops over a speeding ticket and refuse to comply, you're going to jail and I don't care what color you are.

I will opine that in the Garner case the two officers involved (and there were two if you read the coroners report and watched the video) should have been brought up on Negligent Homicide charges. whether that would have led to a conviction or not is anyone's guess, but the charges should have been filed.

2011. Kenneth Harding. Killed by San Francisco Police …over a $2 BART fare. They prevented him getting help for 28 minutes while he bled out.

OVER. TWO. FUCKING. DOLLARS.

One of the cops, Richard Hastings - was later arrested for Child Molestation of a teenage boy.

Kenneth Harding - San Francisco Police Murder Black Teen Over Fee

On July 16, 2011, San Francisco police fatally shoot a 19 year old black male teenager Kenneth Harding. Police allegedly chased this teen over a two dollar bus fee. San Francisco police claimed he had a weapon.

Witnesses claimed this murdered teen did not have any weapons and police over reacted. This victim later died at a local hospital after succumbing from life threatening injuries. Also, it is alleged this victim bled for thirty minutes, before he was taken to a hospital.

The San Francisco police department claimed that Kenneth Harding actually shot himself with a .380 caliber handgun and died from this fatal shot. Officers Richard Hastings and Matthew Lopez recieved medals of valor for their handling of this incident. Witnesses claim Mr. Harding did not have a gun and a gun that police alleged to have been found later, was actually a cell phone.
 
 
Some people just don't get that law abiding citizens are treated less than human because of persoanal value judgments made by law enforcement.

When on the job, the judgement must always remain objective.
