Do men age better than women?

Ir depends... I will judge the silver fox v. couger off if need be. I would like to go ahead and volunteer. I do, however, greatly lament that the chick who played Blanche was unable to do Viagra commercials. That's only vaguely connected to the thread, but it is true nonetheless.

I've heard that they do, but I'm skeptical of it.

Women live longer on average, so you could call that the win.

If you are going on appearance/physical fitness, I think you'll find more fit men in their 60's than women. Or else those ladies go to a different gym than I do.

Perhaps you could define what you mean by "age better"?

Of course we do. I am nearly a half century old, look how handsome I am. it is cruel but it is just punishment for women having so much more appeal than us when we were young.

Sexiness, basically.

If we were judging by lifespan, then women do win that. However as far as sexiness goes, we are at a disadvantage compared to men. Sagging, etc. we have thinner skin as well so we crack and wrinkle sooner, not to mention some men can wear wrinkles and still look great while women can't it seems.

In retirement communities, assisted living and rest homes they women seem to out number the men and be more active. I worked one place where there was 1 man to 17 women. He was fairly young late 70's some of the women were in their 90's and very active. He only lasted there about 6 months before needed a higher level of care. That was decades ago, maybe things have changed now.

There are always exceptions, depending on how well the individual looks after themself, but in general, yes, I think men tend to age better from a looks point of view, even though as some have pointed out, we usually die younger.

Yes, i agree

also taking care of yourself and eating right. But i think is mostly genes

There is some interesting but contradictory data as to the relationship between longevity and genetic make up. It will be interesting to see where things will go as these relationship become more understood.

Yeah I don't know what happened there. I am doing some paperwork and preparing some files for work in the morning and I thing I got gummed up there somehow.

cheers-

i understand, done that mistake :D (misquoting, not calling someone cute and will turn into a gilf :p )
