Makes feel sad when I read the other fighter was paid to throw the fight. I hope it isn't true.
Thanks for the update, I was hoping it wasn't true.![]()
I once spent a couple of hours with Muhammad Ali, overall it was a sad day. You can really get your brain scrambled in Boxing game.
First of all you don't know shit:

Ali himself believes he suffered life altering injuries in the ring; his wife believes this, and so does his doctor.
Looking over your post, I note your still the same belligerent asshole.

Nothing wrong with testing your metal in the ring....
You do know that Ali has Parkinson Disease don't you? And you really can't tell or don't know the difference between trauma induced brain damage and Parkinson?
After looking over your link and doing some quick searches, it seems the Daily Mail is the ONLY ONE that has reported the story of the paid off fighter. Another case of the main stream media not doing their due diligence? Hmmmmm.
Comshaw
Head trauma is thought to be linked to Parkinsons.
There was a guy in HS I couldn't stand. He took pride in getting paint from all the opposing teams on his helmet.Once upon a time boxing used to go fifteen rounds or until a winner. Officially it was the death of some dude that got the change but there were lots of other things like this linked to it. Imagine if our parents and grandparents had been baddasses like we all are today and just said to boxers what we say to football players. "WHAT YOU THOUGHT GETTING PUNCHED IN THE FACE WAS HEALTHY?! YOU KNEW WHAT YOU WERE GETTING INTO!!!"
Gloves were not REALLY made to make fights last longer though they had that effect. They are actually to protect the hands and yes ultimately hit harder but you've got to know at least one person growing up who broke a hand. I know at least two who broke hands twice in fights. Despite the fact that we did evolve to punch we're still not particularly good at doing it with breaking those tiny little bones in our hands.
Football gear MAY have the same effect I wouldn't know for sure. A quick look at wiki tells me that bareknuckle boxing apparently could and did go on longer than modern boxing. I don't know if that statistically normal or just something thatcould happen. I find even at various official sources (this is facts in general) they tell you about the extremes and often pretend that was in someway normal.
Interestingly if you look at injuries between "fake" pro wrestling and real UFC it turns out the combination of less rest time and real fights tending to end quicker if you have the talent for both dear god go MMA! You'll fuck yourself up less being a real fighter than a fake one.
