Would you rather be blind or deaf?

No sight, as I will be able to feel my way around, and hear the gasps of pleasure as my hands explore the right places.

Which one?

When I was in grade school one of my music teachers asked this question of her class, and had the students raise their hand for one answer or the other. Every kid in the class, probably about thirty, chose being deaf over being blind. The music teacher was crushed. One of those moments I'll never forget.

have to choose deaf despite it meaning losing so much i love. but to not be able to read, watch the skies, see nature... i'd choose to be deaf rather than blind

I agree and for me blindness is especially scary as I am legally blind in one eye now so byond paranoid with my vision in my good eye,

I'm hearing impaired and getting worse. I understand your remorse and apprehension at the least degradation of your remaining ability. If forced, I'd choose the inevitable deafness over loss of my normal sense. Who'd want to be both blind and unable to hear?

I HATE when people ask this question. Whatever answer you give, it sucks.
