Does anyone here make over $1,000,000 per year? And if so, please answer the following questions.

Which university did you go to?
What was your major?
What was your college/graduate school GPA?

Question Number 1: Hard Knocks
Question Number 2: Narcotics
Question Number 3: 4.0

There is a vast difference between a graduate degree baseline 'job' paying a million dollars every year, and someone who has made a million in any given year or who can do that if they wanted to.

The OP question is on the one hand pitched around the focus of '$1,000,000' but everybody knows that US GPA's are skewed politically and in various other ways skewed too and therefore entrance scores are not the only thing involved.

If the motive of the questioner is to do with what is the best place to study to acquire the tools to MAKE a million a year - this is a different question to: which place more or less assures you will be sought for positions (salary and wage/package contract) @ a million per annum.

The answer to the second question is, in my view, places like Fabrica in Italy, or AMG's industry training centre, or even the UK's Attingham Trust, or Michaelhouse in Durban. And even then, there are a lot of external factors involved.

You really should be chasing PARTICULAR professors who have some kind of special reputation within their field. In fact, it's often not even professors but really dynamic and practically active doctors of something or other, who if you team up with on their go-getting research or applied research projects, will open doors for you and maybe even lead you directly to the giant money.

And this is all if you are intent on going the path of academia.

All big industry has it's own internal 'industry training' facilities and those are the absolute best places to start out from. And in every case, you have to find and tie yourself to some highly dynamic person and what they are already doing.

Also, a new graduate being paid a million a year is being set up to take the blame for some fall that others see is coming down the line...

The cleverer - better academically-performed - a graduate is or thinks they are, the more they are being set up. Because these are the ones who especially, people can and WILL say - 'they should have known better.' And therefore, 'they are to blame...!'

Most of the $1,000,000+ salary jobs are in banking and finance.
