So you say you want a Revolution, well, you know, you're not the only one...

So, let's get it started.

Ideally, we infiltrate every level of government and then shut it all down internally.

Yeah, we're burning this bitch down, and starting over.

Well, an uprising is coming, and it's a matter of time before people realize that the system is broken and in desperate need of a reboot.

It isn't treason if it's a right guaranteed by the founding fathers.

The Government is no longer serving the needs of its people, but rather the whims of the multinationals. Corporations are people, and the police are now a militarized institution.

Look what's happening out in the streets
Got a revolution Got to revolution
Hey I'm dancing down the streets
Got a revolution Got to revolution
Ain't it amazing all the people I meet
Got a revolution Got to revolution
One generation got old
One generation got soul
This generation got no destination to hold
Pick up the cry
Hey now it's time for you and me
Got a revolution Got to revolution
Come on now we're marching to the sea
Got a revolution Got to revolution
Who will take it from you
We will and who are we
We are volunteers of America

One's age invalidates the rage one feels at the state of the country? Or, what was the point of this?

Yes, yes there is, John Doe.

Civil Disobedience being my personal favorite, is how I choose to do so.

There is more than one way of going about that as well. "Burning it all down" (even figuratively) strikes me as a radical way of doing it.

If my car is broken I don't just get rid of it. I first see if I can fix it. I get the sense that it's only relatively recently that a lot of Americans have realized there is a problem at all. That's only the first step, which is a long way from a decision to 'start over'. While I realize that there are some things that once broken can't be fixed I don't believe that is the case here.

There needs to be radical change. The two party system is flawed, the electoral college is antiquated and flawed. American politics, to its core, is about self-preservation and not any real progress or true change.

It's beyond being fixed piece by piece and part by part. Everything is intertwined. Children of politicians grow up to be even more extremist and radical than their parents were before them. Policies are handed down generation to generation, not really being amended to suit the needs of the country but to better fill their own pockets.

Yes, I may be radical, even when I'm (somewhat) facetiously wanting to burn it all down.

But there are implications from America's socio-economic policies that keep people poor and uneducated doesn't serve the people who rule over them. It is one of the major reasons there is such unrest and underlying anger in so many communities. When a student has to indebt himself to banks and/or the government just to receive proper education, it's an indicator that things are severely wrong.

Is high school on a break or something?

Are you saying that high schoolers (and those you perceive to be in high school) are more educated than you are with the goings on of the world?

Because how sad for you.

I think we primarily disagree on semantics.

I don't think having more than two viable parties or reworking the electoral system are all that radical.

While I think tuition has gotten far out of hand it's not really true that you have to indebt yourself to get a proper education. Perhaps by education you mean schooling. Even then many universities allow you to earn up to 20 credit-hours with testing alone. Many employers accept 20 hours as equivalent to a graduate degree. You're mistakenly assuming that the traditional route is the only one.

I think she means to imply that your opinions are sophomoric.

At least you're coming to terms with your short comings. See. I've already been a positive influence.

Oh, see, I was grateful that you're so far beneath me that I wouldn't understand your sad, sick sense of humor. But you're so far gone you didn't catch it. *pats head* it's okay, hon. Go back to your toys or petty arguments or whatever it is you do to get through your miserable life.

You seem to be the one that's miserable and full of hate. Plus, not many 24 year olds quote Steve Miller songs. You smell fishy.
