Because it is tradition.

She'll be eating at the church, Princess doesn't like a single thing other than a little turkey smothered in BBQ sauce and I'll be working a double-shift...

:(

Think she'll have trouble with an empty nest in a couple of years?

Should I get her some bichon frises?

The oldest of my princesses lost her best friend two thanksgivings ago. I came to town and cooked a non-thankgiving dinner. This year he mom has the kids and she is living there again. I don't want to look like I am driving a wedge, but I want to offer an alternative. Haven't decided how to handle it.

I would drink. Heavily.

:(

Then I would drunk-dial childhood buddies...

:D

It's a thought. Most likely I will get roped into someone elses family gathering where I will be stuck there absorbing their graciousness when I would rather be anywhere else.

Last thanksgiving was great until checkout. I cooked asian in a refurbished by the week kitchenette from the 1950's.

Maybe I'll do something like that. I have a friend in Tucson with no family I could probably shack up with.

The SO wants to do "something". She's not sure what, but she wants to.

I was going to hope for multiple accidental deaths of organ donors and kidneys to drive up and down the East Coast.

Well, "hope" isn't really the right word, but you get the idea.

Actually, I have donated to a small clubhouse which is cooking for T-giving, and I always have a standing invite there - guests, too.

Let Cap'n Morgen pilot your holiday ship...

I guess I'll have plenty of leftovers for a while...

Still can, as long as the old turkey doesn't look like some pre-historic find on an ice planet.

I tossed a hambone a couple of years ago for becoming too fossil-frozen.

I should bought split peas . . . . :(

Or the 80's.

A college frat-party rapist I know got an "honorable mention" in the new Rolling Stone article.

I agree with his victim - why the fuck is he still not in prison?

I think that an unescorted female entering a Frat House with the intention of partying hard has said yes the instant she steps over the threshold, or she was too stupid to be admitted in the first place.

If she was bonging it in the dorm, they should all go to jail...

;)

Now I had better duck and run.

I hear heels slipping off.

It's always the frosh girls that get the Frat Bone. They know no better.

I got no sympathy for the preppies: hang 'em high.

Off for the first run . . . .

Good luck with that.

Home from run #1 and almost out the door again for run #2.

Finishing the housework.

If it were not for my Marine Corps training, I think the women would go without clean sheets and towels, or else they would always be buying new ones! On Sale!!! Saving us money...

Laurel won't give you the day off? Heartless bitch!

*runs from thread*

rlmao

I fucking hate housework.

I mean, I did it last week, so whatchoo mean it needs doing again???

Which reminds me, it's time to wash all the bed linens - again!!!

It's all got to be squared away!

That's the thing for me. In the old days, I used to walk away from a job and have that satisfaction of finishing something...

;)

... now one shipment done means the next one is in line.

But really, I mean, you still have to build that next thing too.
