Here's my issue/question/observation on the article;

OK, we all know that some men are pigs that will use any device they can to get laid so in that respect there is nothing new in this story. No, the lawyers piggish behavior is not the issue.

The issue is that for years and years and years we've been told by the 'experts' that no one will engage in any act they are morally against, ie. murder, armed robbery, etc., under hypnosis. Soooo, have we been lied to all these years or did these women just want to get laid too?

Well, not exactly. A woman has a sex drive, but that does not mean she always wants to fuck the man propositioning her, nor at the same time and place as he proposes. And, there is such thing as command hypnosis.

That doesn't give someone the right to use coersion, force, hypnosis, or any other method to take it without my express consent. Just because I'm not morally opposed and you might get away with hypnotizing me for it, doesn't mean you can rightfully have it.

hypnosis is more akin to a state of temporary drunkness, where your guard is completely let down and you do not have defense against the reasoning system in your brain.

I've been doing hypnosis for a couple of years now, and can tell you if you ask any hypnotist if you can be hypnotized against your will, they will immediately tell you "no".

Aspiring hypnotists are taught to tell this to everyone, as it helps gain acceptance by someone on the fence about willingness to be hypnotized. It breaks down resistance.

The simple matter is, given enough time, any decent hypnotist can break down anyone's will and can do it to coerce just about anything out of anyone.

It's difficult to do this with a casual encounter, unless you use some high-stress confusion techniques.

There's a great clip on youtube of a guy in Britain who is the absolute master of this, he convinced a guy to give him his Rolex watch in less than two minutes. I followed along with the video, and knew what to look for, and *I* got confused too. Sheer brilliance.

I like the drunkenness argument. Without the reasoning function of your brain you cannot consent to sex, just like a drunk person cannot legally consent to sex with someone who is sober. I understand this is common and happens all the time and most people dont think its a big deal, but person who was sober (or the hypnotist in this case), was taking complete advantage of her inability to say no.

If consent was arranged beforehand, that's something else entirely.

Then he took two chairs and placed them as far apart as my height. Still whispering really fast in my ear to be as tight as I could be he picked me up and placed the heels of my feet on one chair and my head on the other chair. With nothing supporting my body underneath. Still telling me to be super stiff he then took his shoes off, stepped on a small stool and then stepped on top of my stomach. Still nothing underneath my body for support.

All I could hear were his whispers and then the audience going, "ooooohhh...aahhhh". When he was done, he stepped off, stood me upright and then 'woke' me up.
