It was the morning after.

Waking to the smell of coffee, I reached over with eyes still closed and felt the place in our bed where you once were. It had now gone cold. Looking at the clock I saw it was already 8:15. I lay there smiling, thinking back to the night before, our heated passion in this very bed. Wow! Was that ever incredible! I needed a shower, but I needed coffee more.

Grabbing the throw from the rocking chair in our bedroom, I wrapped it around myself and wandered out to our dining room. The flock of tiny birds in the now sleeping rose tree caught my eye through the window. I always loved watching the birds.

You loved watching me.

You came up behind me, still nude yourself. Wrapping your arms tightly around my waist, you planted a kiss on my neck. You felt so warm. Mmmmmmm, I closed my eyes for a moment.

"Good morning baby, would you like some coffee?"

"Mmmmmmm, yes please, but hold me for just a few more minutes first."

You happily obliged my request and squeezed a little tighter. More kisses were trailed down the side and back of my neck. You knew how I loved that.

My blanket had slipped a little when you stepped away.You almost tripped over a nearby chair, as your eyes didn't depart when your feet did.

I heard you stumble and we both chuckled over it when you returned with my coffee.

We shared the rest of our morning coffee quietly; you sitting and watching me.....
