"My policies are on the ballot." Pres. Obama.

GOP takes Alaska. Elections have consequences.

Hey stupid Amber, do you have enough votes to override a presidential veto? Last time I checked, 53 was less than 67.

Stupid Amber.

May be true but with public opinion as it is not all dems will vote for his policies. Case in point over 60% (please correct if wrong) had clinton campaign for themni stead of obama

I seriously doubt you'll see any large number of Democrats flock to the Republican banner. They might not like President Obama but are realistic enough to understand the alternative is worse.

The only real change in the next Congress is that the Senate will have the power to stall any and all federal judiciary appointments, and that's partially Obama's fault. He never got serious about filling vacancies until his second term.

Nope not this one. Politics is a long game not a short term answer but as I see it the whole landscape is desolate. Please leave Alaska out of it. It reminds me of that crazy self interested woman who quit her job and then...No its too much. Karl Rove gave her a smack down that the fraud deserved. Alaska is a nice place but not something the lower 48 brood about.

Hey Throbwad - we won. You lost. It ain't 2012 anymore, Dorothy.

Get over your butthurt.

Look at who's openly counting on 'obstructionism' now!

That alone is an indication of how the tables have turned.

Obama, party of one: The new, improved, "Party of No!"

After spouting that drivel for 4 years, it'll be fun to watch him eat it.

He will claim that bipartisan bills landing on his desk were not done "in good faith" because they shoulda known he didn't like them.

You see where the Dems are thinking of rushing through Keystone at this late hour so they can say THEY did it to help Landrieu?

Be fantastic if they do and end up over-riding a veto to boot.

As Ronald Reagan famously said...You'd be amazed what you can get done if you don't care who gets the credit.

Not butthurt at all. I'll ask again, how is your side going to implement their policies without enough votes to override a presidential veto, which is enshrined in the US Constitution?

It's not "obstructionism". It's a process. Republicans have to come up with legislation that will pass muster in both houses AND be signed into law by the President. If the President doesn't think the bill is in line with his policies, he can veto it, and then your side requires a 2/3 vote to override.

That's not obstructionism, that's the American democratic process.

I wonder how the party of "no" will handle the reins...

They know, at some level anyway, that they have zero chance of enacting their toxic policies into law, so I suspect we'll see two years of them grandstanding before the cameras, manufacturing outrage for the low-information ishmael/miles demographic.

As enjoyable as the taking of the Senate was, it's even more enjoyable to see the libbie spin that this somehow doesn't matter.

They have Reid as a role model. No voting in the Senate ....on anything the House approved.

According to GovTrack, over 350 bills passed in the House that Reid says "no" to voting on.

Reid isn't the party of no .... He's the person of no.

Still waiting for you to explain how 53 votes equals 67, stupid Amber.
That's because his head is lodged in his ass.
Miles is obsessing about my ass once again. His obsession is almost at Vettemanesque proportions.

I wonder if Reid will run again after his recent fall from grace. There isn't much of a future being a former dictator.

So basically, you're admitting that they're going to continue doing nothing...

I'm glad you're setting the bar so low.

They won't and they begged for the chance. So its all on them now and it won't be pretty. You win but 2016 you lose because it will no longer be about Obama. They never created a reason to vote FOR them. I am open to vote for the best candidate but I have no idea what the R stands for anymore.

WTF are you talking about?
