You could do that in a flashback at some point. I'm planning one for a longer post in the new thread, during the trip on horseback to the winery, I think.

Cramer in the bed of a pick up truck adding a flamer thrower. Maybe Jerry helping him ... talking about how peaceful it had been the last 6 months and how the crops were growing good. etc ... and he really does not understand the whole need for the portand trip ...

all the while Jerry is teasing him about fighting ... the ending statement is something like "face cramer ... you are looking forward to going to portland and kicking some zombie butt!"

or

Cramer sitting on his rocking chair ... eating an apple or something.

Thinking about the future? past? present? what it means to be happy? etc

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION:
5'7 tall, now a willowy figure, swimmer's muscles.

PERSONALITY DESCRIPTION:
Quiet, although she speaks her mind if she feels like it.

BACKGROUND:
Only daughter to a family of six, two elder brothers, one younger. Born in a little village in the north of germany, close to the danish border, where her family has a farm, which her parents own in the sixth generation.

Since according to local custom her youngest brother will inherit the farm, she and her older brothers were encouraged to study. Her eldest brother, again according to local custom, choose an army career, she studied English, translates for a few German TV channels and is a voice-over actress on some children's series and cartoons. As a little girl she was casted to voice-over a little girl, now she mostly does prepubescent boys and cartoon animals. She is able to do a high-pitched shriek on command, or out off nowhere.

Late last summer she married her high school sweetheart because they thought it was time to finally take the big step, especially since they felt the time was ripe for a child or two. They decided to spend their four-weeks honeymoon in the USA traveling to all the cities there called Salem.

They would have flown home three days after the Outbreak. Since all flights were canceled, they were stranded at Salem Oregon. After a week they decided to travel north, hoping to find a safe, secluded spot in the Canadian forests. Around Portland they lost their mobile home to a group of marauders.

Nice. Daniel is becoming a bit a background figure, just like Ria. They still are important for the story, but until a strong controller with a herd arrives in Eugene, they don't have much to do. That is why I created Wiebke after a chat with Wolf.

If I add this character, it'll make things a lot more interesting for Daniel. But even if I don't, Daniel has always been rather free spirited. Hates to be locked up like cattle. A lot like Eren Jaeger from "Shingeki no Kyohin"

Mm, Daniel isn't locked up or in, he is being pampered!

Depends how you look at it. Sure, he is being pampered, but has to be constantly monitored and is only so pampered do to his powers. He is like cattle, kept safe and secure only to be used.

Yeah, but when you have a Voice in your head constantly telling you to wipe out humans, doesn't take long for it to notice something like that and exploit it. And six months is quite a long time.

But don't worry, it won't be an immediate worry. I'll try and play it right, use this idea to its fullest potential.

Cramer wont tolerate any Daniel controlled zombies on his farm, except for the one time they build a wall around his property. Daniel will surprisingly have an uneasy ally in Cramer, being that Cramer understands he's too intelligent to be used. Daniel will need his freedom or else he'll just take it, so Cramer will be on his side unless forced to kill him.

That may or may not work out, since Daniel doesn't quite trust Cramer, especially since he is friends with Deacon, and also because he kinda gave him the cold shoulder when it was first known Daniel could control zombies. But who knows what'll happen.
