How to get status bar back in firefox?

Used to be that when I moused over a hyperlink, down at the bottom of the screen it would tell me the URL that I was about to click. Now it does not. I changed nothing that I am aware of.

I'm using Pale Moon which is a variant of Mozilla's Firefox.

Right click in the header, do not hover over anything. The menu that pops up, click on "add on bar", this will toggle the lower address bar that you speak of. If you do not have this option, go to Firefox and check for program and add on updates, look for the add on that controls the lower bar.

Are you sure it wasn't Chrome you were using at the time?

Pale Moon...Header - click where it says Pale Moon. Then hover the options item, then click status bar options in the menu that is displayed. In the dialog that pops up make sure the Status Bar is selected in the drop down under the links section. Click okay and everything is back to normal.

Thank you!

That has been bugging the ever-loving crap out of me.

For some reason "status bar" just didn't sound like what I was looking for, but of course it was.

Arghh...

Now it is there, but it hides behind the window task bar at the bottom. WTF? If minimize the window there it is...if I maximize, it is missing.

I temporarily solved it by auto-hiding the task bar but it playing peek-a-boo with me is not optimal either.

Why do you maximize the window...it's a window, Windows, by its name, handles more than one window at a time.

The only application I maximize is Sketchup, the rest are always windowed...except games of mass destruction(FPS).

I have never had a static task bar. I hardly ever use it anyway. ALT-Tab gets you other windows just as fast. If I need the task bar it's there when I need it, otherwise I don't need to see it.

Here's what my desktop looks like with a browser open... a little big, but you get the idea.

Tiny net book; so- like my dick, I prefer to use every inch. That said, I'm getting used to the the disappearing task bar and it did give me another .5 like Canky's dick. Kind of like manscaping for the screen.

Ah, Netbook...eleven inches of fun but no substance.

The disappearing taskbar will, instead of being an annoyance, a pleasure.

If I had a nickle for every time some chick referred to me as "Eleven Inches of Fun..."*

As far as the disappearing taskbar, I am starting to like it. At first, just to get it out of the way, I moved it to the side and there, as a disappearing one it kept getting triggered when I went to a scroll bar.

Down at the bottom where it "belongs" it is much less a problem.

*It might've been "Elvin Inches of Fun. Not sure.

I love my 23" monitor. My notebook is 15" and way too small.

The 10" tablet, for what it is, is just right...to bad tablets only have a limited amount of memory.

It appears that until Google gives Android the ability to access more than 64gig of flash memory...they will be limited use devices, no matter how Hollywood and US TV portrays them.

No, I refuse to pay and exorbitant price for a limited use device, so Apple crap is out.
