Well, here we are: 1994 again, perhaps we can get what we got then without the stupidity of an impeachment trial again - a congress that knows it has to at least compromise some and a president who knows the same thing.

In Virginia, Mark Warner apparently won a close election, but the recount will take a few days and they'll probably want some cross-check of absentees with actual voters before declaring it official. Nobody likes Warner, but Gillespie is tainted by his association with convicted former Governor McDonnell. I voted for Gillespie because Warner is a shithead billionaire scumbag who didn't do a single thing he promised in the last election. Libertarian Sarvis took enough republican votes to give Warner the win, if you believe that all Libertarian votes are actually Republican Votes handed to democrats.

We also put mostly republicans back into the house, but that was expected.

The ballot issue - will exempt disabled veterans from property taxes once the amendment is added to the constitution. Almost everyone voted for this, except me of course because I'm told I hate the military and figured I should make that true by putting it to the disabled vets.

So now - can Republicans govern or do we get a pile of "repeal the ACA", "Ban Abortion" and "corporate welfare"?

From the numbers, I'd expect the Louisiana Senate race to tip to the Republican now that the other two republicans are eliminated from the runoff election, but in Louisiana, one never knows.

The ultra conservatives can be proud of Tennessee where they decided that Rapist's parental rights will become safe with the passage of Initiative 1. You'll have to cry over NC and Colorado where fetuses didn't gain personhood.

The worst thing is that DC voted to be stoned idiots - but with a republican congress coming in - we'll get to see Congress overturn the will of the people (but that will be OK because they aren't judges).

actually the park police service here in DC enforce federal law, which prohibits pot, so the newly passed law won't be the ovenight metamorphosis some are expecting

When is the last time you saw a Park Policeman in Anacostia or South East after dark? They'll do whatever the congress tells them to do, and then only in the federal sector of the city - just like they mostly do now.

I actually voted for the guy that won the governorship in Maryland. That's about the first time I've ever voted for someone who won.

It was a stinker of a choice though.

ha, when was the last time *i* was in anacostia after dark?

You will live to regret that vote, probably sooner than you would like.

I will now laugh at you for voting for a republican governor of Maryland.

ahahahahahahaha
ahahahahahahahahaha

Want to move to DC with me and get stoned?

I never stop my car in Maryland, too likely that I'm violating at least one law just by being there. Didn't they pass an Air Tax on breathing last session?

The usual suspects are strangely quiet on the matter of election fraud.

I hope they get busy with the 44000 cross line voters in Maryland and Virginia. They must have tipped the Maryland race to the republicans and the Virginia race to the democrats. Clever folk those 44000 dual state voters.

The choice involved holding your nose and picking one.

I did vote to reelect my democratic congress critter - mostly because I know him personally and he's a nice guy.

Both of the congressmen I knew are now retired. (Frank Wolf and John Warner)

I've met a couple others, but wouldn't say I know them or that they're anything but establishment drones put forward by their party.

Virginia has half a dozen old white men that just swap offices every few years.

Did the woman who's never had a job win?

I'll be glad those commercials are over.

That's mostly true but there's not many states you can't say the same about.

Congress and the Senate could be exchanged today for a 1930s gent's only club on Park Avenue.

1994 was a damn good year.

Now where is my flannel shirt and Soundgarden cds?

Does Mia Love prove that Republicans aren't racist anti-woman fuckwits, or did they elect her only to prove that they aren't anti-woman racist fuckwits?

*views post:rollees:

never heard of the cunt.....:rollees:

She's everything the Republicans want in a woman - a white mannish lawyer with boobs and long hair to prove they're not anti-woman.
