I need a vacation

I want to go to Vegas. Heard you will have the time of your life down there.

don't you hate it when you wake up quick at about noon and just think that you have to be in compton soon?

I'll meet you there. When are you free?;)

The ex is getting a trial run with the kids over New Years, let's go ring it in while toasting the slopes. I do après ski soooooo well.

I'm planning to pop up to the cabin on Friday for a couple of nights. That will be a mini-vacation provided the roads are decent. Otherwise, I might just stay home.

Noor where do you normally go?

I haven't been on a vacation in many years, I was planning a trip to the Sierra Mountains in California but that was cancelled.

I like to travel and have been in almost all the State and most of the provinces. Traveling itself is part of the escape, not just the destination.

I like to see how other people live and interact in other places. Travel, esp. foreign travel is very cool for discovering what you really like and believe and what is really just cultural conditioning.

Places I like to go
San Fransisco- alone or with people. I have friends in the bay area. I like walking around and shopping there. I am into pattern making and textile arts so I check out a lot of studios and fabric shops. I like the parks in the area, Golden Gate and Tilden in Berkeley.
Las Vegas-I have never been alone here. I have some friends who live there, and I usually stay with them. I also meet up with other friends there. One goes there with their work every year, everything is comped, so it is a different experience. I have a list of things I like to do on the strip, but Red Rock, Valley of Fire, Zion National Park within driving distance which is cool. There are also other Vegas things that are non gambling/strip that I do.
Beaumont, Texas- I like it because it's warm and wet, but most importantly, one of my favorite people lives there. I do not recommend this as a destination.
Orlando- I go alone or with people. I love Epcot Center, and also like some things at WDW and Animal Kingdom. The attractions are fun, but so is the people watching. There are people from all over the world there.

There are a bunch of places I like to go in the summer which basically outdoor and swimming places for me.

Overseas:
Scotland-
Edinburgh Festival: Actually the splinter part the Fringe. It's very crowded and all but the new performing arts make it worth it. Very international.
Inverness:hiking
Still planning on going up Ben Nevis and eventually doing the 3 peak challenge

English Lake District-vegging out, hiking the fels.

London-museums, shopping, music, see friends

Germany-Berlin, along the Rhine and Mosel. Hannover Cebit.

I like riding on steam trains and on narrow gauge railroads which are all over the UK.

What do you want to do on a vacation?
