Feeling better after some nice posts, Tallis, and pms.
I also ate a bowl of rice crispies with coconut milk, my 3rd of the day, maybe not such a good idea since I am not really supposed to have much iron.

Mr. Bear and I are going to put on our eye shades and hit the hay.

Mr Bear is asleep, I am still awake :(

I had no idea that chess was big in prison, but it makes sense.

Going to watch some Doc Martin and see if that helps.

Look, I get it. Sometimes you just have to have that very loud conversation on the train, you have to yell into your phone about your best friend's work problems but could you at least wear cuter shoes?

I wish someone would make an affordable line of bags with reinforced, leather or plastic bottoms with fabric uppers. I know they'd sell really well around these commuters. I hate resorting to cheap reusable bags because I need to be able to wash them after they've been on the floor of the train.

i still have no clue what it was, but i gotta say that i'm super happy that the weird bump on my cheek is slowly fading away.

When I played football in high school, and a player was hurt on the field, our team doctor would rush out onto the field. Inevitably, a chant from the stands would start: "Turn your head and cough! Turn your head and cough!"

Personally, I think you may just enjoy your appt this a.m. :)

Can you take a picture of what kind of bag you mean and what amount would be affordable?

i got an IUD put in me 2 weeks ago and for the last week my uterus has decided that it's going to make me feel like i have a very angry violent baby in there just punching me nonstop also i keep bleeding

i am not sure about the violent baby but the bleeding is normal, so i'm told

but jeebus i haven't had cramps this bad since i started taking the pill. they stopped the cramps and the crazy bleeding but they gave me super bad headaches and mood swings.

supposedly the iud won't do headaches and moodswings and eventually will just give me super light periods but atm the cramps are like wtf

The good news is that's normal. The even gooder news is that it's very temporary. When I had my Mirena installed(?), I had light bleeding for like two months straight. Then it stopped and I never had another period again. AND no PMS.

You need look no further than a Federal Reserve that is printing money.

You need look no further than government— which has made college degrees worthless.

You need look no further than economic illiterates who engage in magical thinking and believe in perpetual motion, Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny.

You need look no further than radical environmentalists and NGOs who, using bogus "science" have done their utmost to keep life miserable for the poor.

...Don’t they know how many of our own poor can no longer afford to heat their homes? Don’t they know how many millions die in the developing world from malaria because we won’t allow them access to DDT? Don’t they know that a million children a year die or are simply blinded for life by withholding the distribution golden rice? Don’t they know how many lives could be saved by supplying the poor with drought and disease resistant GM seeds? Don’t they know that switching from growing food staples to growing biofuel crops for cars only the rich can afford has more than doubled prices of basic foods? Don’t they know about the people killed in the food riots? Do they actually know anything? Do they care anyway?

There’s no oily sophistry about those questions, no sophistication, no tricky debating traps, no guile, no hidden agenda but always an essential inhumanity to the silence or uneasy evasiveness with which they’re met. I’ve raised an impolite subject. The truth is people are not dying, they’re being killed and we’re the ones through inaction doing the killing...
