My parents go to one of my favorite places from my childhood for my uncles 90th birthday party and to see all these people/places I grew up with...and they decide to bring home treats. Awesome! Do they bring home freshly dug clams, lobster right off the boat, linguica or even better Portuguese cacoila (which I haven't had in years)? Oh no...they bring home carbs...Portuguese sweet bread, masalas (sp?) and coffee milk fresh from the dairy...all things I don't (or in the case of milk) can't eat these days. How well do these people know me?!?

I have not had Portuguese sweet bread, or wine biscuits or fried clam cakes since 1980.

I was stressing all day today because I have a meeting in Va. tomorrow. Virginia!!!! Hell, that's almost to Florida!
Luckily, the meeting was moved to Wednesday so I have another day to pack some bottled water and canned meat for the trip.
