What liberals generally hold against him are the drone strikes, indefinite detentions, NSA surveillance, civil-liberties stuff like that; failure to pass an economic stimulus package at least twice as big, which was and still is needed; failure to hold any Wall Street or financial bigwigs accountable for their crimes that led to the 2008 recession -- or to place them under any increased oversight since then; failure to do anything about wealth inequality; failure to pass real health-care reform with a public option in it; and failure to do more about poverty -- in general, not just black poverty.

Of course, it's questionable how much he could have done differently, considering that from Day One the Pubs have done everything they could to obstruct even his tentative half-assed initiatives.

For the first two years of his term, the Dems also controlled both houses of Congress.

They did not have a supermajority of 60 votes in the Senate however, and Republicans exploited this loophole via unprecedented filibusters until Harry Reid courageously shut it down.

Also keep in mind one of the purported Democrats was Judas Joe Lieberman.
