Yes it's absurd and I'm surprised it hasn't been done already. It only seems fitting considering round TEN. Throw out your nominations and I'll get around to the Poll Saturday, maybe.

I nominate

Sukit_beyatch
Yayati
Solid Muldoon
HighSchoolJock

I wouldn't even have to think about this, I could just post 95% of my ignore list.

The Cade ones alone would require at least three or four rounds. :D

Don't you mean Hall of Shame? And how do we shame those who have none?

I nominate

SINThysist
Fawkin' Injun
Cap'n Amatrixca
4est 4est Gump
Andra Jenny
Frisco Slug Esq

Wait, who was yayati an alt for?

Was Hanns Schmidt an alt? He was a firecracker.

I don't remember who yayati was created for.

I do remember his 6 paq though.

4est4estGump...is it still an alt if it becomes the primary username?

I second High School Jock. Scotty cracks me up.

Random thought: having been here for two very different phases of the GB, I find it interesting how so many of the alts during both periods have espoused a poisonously right-wing (American) political bent. I don't just mean conservative in an "I loved The Fountainhead back in high-school" sort of way, but in a full-on "racist comments on interracial porn clips" sort of way. The level of projection is just stunning. Now granted, I'd be willing to wager it's all the same two or three guys, but still, what is this need to generate the impression that one's foul beliefs are more prevalent than they actually are? I mean, you can't just go congregate with your own kind on Stormfront or some shit? I mean it's been years. You'd think the novelty would have worn off by now.

NeverEndingMe has to be Jeninflorida, right? That "style" is just too unmistakable.

That's possible...

Consider though, that Stephen Colbert (for example) is not ACTUALLY a conservative. Skewering your opponents through over the top "imitation"' is effective.

Recently, a far from conservative poster who is not shy about making anti-Semitic remarks dredged up an idle alt of his and went full-tilt send-them-to-the-ovens Nazi-mode.

I do think that sometimes alts are more revealing then intended.

Also a good point. LT, I seem to recall, fit that profile nicely. But Colbert at least has wit and subtlety on his side. At what point does one just accept that one has no sense of comic timing or crowd reception?

"Subtlety?"

Depends on what you already believe, I suppose.

Personal political point of view has a lot to do with what seems funny or not. SNL had no problem finding comedy gold n Bush's foibles. Not so with Obama. A lot of conservatives accuse SNL and its writers of "protecting" the President but I disagree. I am sure they try, they spit-ball it around the room and it falls flat to their ears.

Dennis Miller is a reformed Liberal. He's funny. He understands what the gag is with Colbert and what all the tropes are about conservatives. He would not be able to effectively write for that show because to him, it would seem tedious and done to death.

Funny about LT: I have seen some non-politically aware people refer to him as a "hateful, right-wing wacko." I point out that Bernie Sanders in his Siggie is an avowed capital "C" Communist.
