This is just a sample of posts from an adult webmaster forum I participate in.

The original topic was started by me about the popularity of erotic story sites.

At some point it morphed into Lit bashing. I've been doing my best to stomp out a lot of the misconceptions about this place. Unfortunately these webmasters believe everything they read in the complaints they find on the Internets lodged by disgruntled ex-posters and trolls from here.

None of the links work for me for some reason. Reading the quotes, I something from last year. Someone had posted a link to some site which had someone complaining about the same group of mods. I remember it because amongst the comments was a poster named Obama (or POTUS or some such) where the guy was complaining about the poster busybody from Lit and how busybody has been harassing him. And then busybody (don't know if it was the same guy from here though) was talking crap to him. It was pretty hilarious (it tickled my funnybone, anyhow).

What I do know for certain is that there is a handful of "webmasters" there that are severely ill informed about or biased against Lit and I probably wasted a good 20 minutes of my life explaining to not just them but everyone that any social site of this magnitude is going to have an above average amount of unsubstantiated and substantiated complaints. And that most of the complaints from here were likely disgruntled ex-posters for silly reasons and trolls.

There is a lot of backstory that you had no reason to know about before starting this thread but that has been shared with you in this thread.

Part of the story is that Cade flooded the board with racist crap, got called out on it, took offense with certain posters, created a host of alts to flood the board with more racist crap and to troll certain posters, got squished by Laurel when enough was enough, and started posting the same racist and trolling crap on the forums you discovered.

Another part of the story is that some mods on this site, years ago, abused their powers and the posters' trust, causing unrest and resulting in the mods' powers being curtailed.

Rather than picking up on the history being shared with you and recognizing a) no one gives a shit about Cade's defamatory posts on other sites and b) your blather about ISPs will contribute to a lot tinfoil hatters screaming, "The sky is falling!", you lash out.

Smooth move, that is.

There is a lot of backstory that you had no reason to know about before starting this thread but that has been shared with you in this thread.

I removed a portion of my original response because I realized, like cjh said, that you probably didn't know the backstory. To me, it seemed very obvious that the "complaints" on that site were trolling. It never occurred to me that anyone would take those seriously, as they literally make no sense.

The only other person to post a link to that site on this forum was Cade, a troll who (under numerous aliases) also made repeated references to being able to ferret out users' IP addresses.

Cade was also a self-professed adult webmaster.

These sent up red flags for me, prompting my response. But after reading cjh's post, it occurred to me that I could be overreacting - that these coincidences could be just that: innocent coincidences. So I took it back.

I'm sorry for the tone of my original post, and for the confusion my edit caused.
