Well, I'm not surprised it's old news; I'm sure people realised it long ago. It speaks either to Cade's commitment to the character or, and this is much funnier, his genuine belief that it's true.

There will always be people who come to Lit and things don't work out for them the way they would have wished. It's no different than the rest of their life.

When a normal person goes somewhere and has a bad experience, they go somewhere else and don't think about the other place. When a Lit-impaired person has a bad experience, they want the rest of the world to know that Lit is a bad place where people treated them mean.

There's probably a couple dozen "I hate Lit" websites and blogs.

The only reason I made an effort to counter the complaints and conspiracies being thrown my way was because it is a webmaster forum. Anyhoo, there is only so much debate one can endure with people who believe everything they read about Lit. Which is why the main point I made was that Lit had to be experienced from the inside as a registered participant. Judging it from the outside without being able to put all the dumbasses on Ignore leads to a skewed perspective.

You don't even need to own a forum or be a forum mod to get someone's IP address from a forum.

It's real easy and there is no hacking whatsoever involved.

Hah, I remember stumbling across the Pissed Consumer and Rip-Off Report lit complaints once. All pretty clearly shades of Cade. The revolving door of butthurt in the wiki entry is laugh and a half, too. I think I spotted LJ in the edit log, but I could be confusing that with the time I googled his username and found tons of accounts on other boards that had banned him for being completely fucking insane. Oh, and his tumblr. Good times.

There is a difference between saying it is possible to easily obtain IPs from a forum and even explaining how one would go about doing it versus actually doing it.

I don't think a mod should even bring up the question of looking into users IPs. It sows distrust. There have been issues with it in the past.

That's the classic freeze-dried brain cells of his at work!

Most of these were done back during his twilight season just before he started to flame out and flicker. He mainly tried to persecute Pinkstarfish on other consumer reports sites by trolling her painting biz which she linked to on here. Same with Kybele with her accessories biz, but mostly it was all about Pinkstarfish. Along the way, he would throw in a few names as in the above example, like Rory, me, Sean, basically everyone he tried to slam on here that he saw as nemeses.

There are sometimes now where I sit back and realize, "Huh...I actually outlasted that shitstain." I mean, I always knew I would, but for a long time, Cade was the cloud of mosquitoes, gnats and tse tse flies infesting this joint that wouldn't go away, no matter how much you sprayed 'em. Then Mama Laurel began pulling the weeds, uprooting the dead stumps and draining the swamp, ever so slowly...but surely.
