What the hell is a 'fake' upskirt? Either it is an upskirt or isn't. I'm thinking you mean deliberate as opposed to accidental. Would it burst your bubble to know that a great number of accidental exposures are well executed flashes?

Sure, by your definition, upskirts cannot be differentiated.
To me a 'fake' upskirt (in the generally accepted notion that an upskirt is a photo taken without the skirt wearer being aware). The image borders on containing illegal or ethical issues. Public posting (e.g here) therefore, ought to disguise the person's identity. Thus, 'deliberate' upskirts are not true upskirts in the sense I explained, precisely because they show the face.
Your terms 'deliberate' and 'accidental'..are not really binary opposites.
Or more properly, your perspectives are not right.
From the photographer's perspective, the upskirt pic can be deliberate; the photographer deliberately took the photo - of the unsuspecting woman. For the photographer, that would be the thrill of capturing the image.
And is what drives the fetish.
Accidental? From the preceding explanation, it cannot be accidental; it's planned. But, accidentally seeing an upskirt and managing to capture it is difficult if not impossible. I've seen many upskirts (in real life) where I haven't had a camera handy.
From the perspective of the subject, the knowing subject - where she would oblige the photographer with an upskirt, while the image would no doubt be titilating, for me it's not a true upskirt, according to the criteria (above) for such captures. Such an image belongs to 'run of the mill' erotic images.
So, to answer your question about 'well executed flashes', yes it would burst my bubble precisely because it would not be a true upskirt.
Those kinds of images ought not be posted here.
An upskirt afficianado can or ought to be able to, tell the difference.
