WELL, OKAY THEN: On the economy, POTUS says “the country is definitely better off than we were when I came into office.” But the people “don’t feel it.”

Poor Obama. We keep disappointing him, in so many different ways

a DEGENERATE ASSHOLE:mad:

its ALWAYS US, its never HIM

OUT: President Obama is “among the most sophisticated consumers of intelligence on the planet.”

IN: Obama: Intel officials underestimated ISIS. When things go well, it’s always “I, me, mine” with this guy. When things go badly, it’s always “they” who screwed up.

Related: Former DHS chief: Obama made mistakes on ISIS.

If he cant blame Bush

He blames us

Where da KILLER RABBIT at:confused:

All I know is what I see.

I reside in the most affluent community in this county of 500K people. The Cadillac dealer is here, the malls are here, the hospitals are here, the Gulf Beaches are here, and the waterfront homes are all here in this township. Most of us are retired professionals who wanna golf and play on the water and scoot about in our Cadillacs.

Before 2008 we had oodles of steakhouses and seafood restaurants, the Cadillac dealership, a BMW dealership, and lotsa shopping centers. Almost all of its closed. The last steakhouse closed this month.

Bush's fault.

It will take a long time, probably three more years, at least, but it will work, you don't turn an aircraft carrier around in a day, hell we can't even afford to refuel it, we need the middle class to pony up some more investment money, some walkin' ' round money, some folding cash...

... there are important voting constituencies to take care of during the Bush Depression.

I see the same thing. There has been no economic recovery here. People are fleeing by the thousands to states with lower taxes. On the one hand they condemn the fact that wealth is concentrated, then they tout the fact that the stock market is so much higher as evidence of economic vitality. The stock market is a sham. Fake money. It does not affect the average person in any meaningful way.

if you take out th JOBS created in TEXAS and the GDP that they created and FRACKING jobs in a couple other States

THERE WOULD HAVE BEEN NEGATIVE JOB CREATION past 6 yrs

I BLAME US FOR THAT:rolleyes:

I was fortunate enough to have lunch a few years ago with a billionaire exbanker friend of mine. I am looking to sell my house in the near future and head south. Talking about the housing market, I asked him when he thought it might turn around. His answer: "When the people get back to work." THAT still hasn't happened. Seven years now my wife is still unemployed. Yeah... menial jobs are available, but then arranging a babysitter... etc... its just not worth it. So I work extra. There are almost zero jobs, real jobs, for her to apply to. And for every one, at least 50 qualified candidates. Of those, probably three or four have an "in" in the company. On a related note, from what I can see.... about 90% of all labour, manual labor jobs are filled by Mexicans. I am not blaming them, I love Mexicans, and they work hard. But how did the system get so fucked up? Is it ALL underground labor?

The same people that blame "wall street" for what fannie and freddie precipitated, proudly point to the inflated stock market as evidence of recovery.

Shedding divisions, cutting bloated payrolls, concentrating on core markets all make companies more profitable, and great for them...but none of that increases GDP, provides employment, or builds a consumer base.
