Ryder Cup 2014

Must be a couple of people who will be following it.
Think the U.S. has to get off to a fast start in the morning, but yet 3 rookies are playing while Europe sits its most of its rookies.

Tiger hasn't been a great help to our efforts. I'll be watching with interest.

Yes. I see the typo in the thread title.
I am not thinking about a Ryder Cup 90 years in the future.
But I am prepared to take my lumps for the poor proofreading.

Tiger isn't playing - the US doesn't care.

This... mostly.

But Phil is, and that's almost as good. He is also taking shots across the bow of the Eurotrash.

“Not only are we able to play together, we also don’t litigate against each other, and that’s a real plus,”

I'd like to follow but the weekend looks fab in Chicago.

Reason to follow?
1) I play
2) Lots of cute boys playing :)

With Cathleen and Amber I am three fourths of the wzy to a great foursome.
Or ready for a fabulous threesome!!!!!

Phil has been a pretty terrible Ryder Cup player. But at his age, this could be his last time, so maybe that will fire him up.

The odds are against the U.S., but if we can keep it close till Sunday, anything can happen.

I wouldn't say his been a terrible Ryder Cup player. Yeah, he hasn't won a majority of his potential points, but he's won 45%. He does hold the record for most Ryder Cup teams and most matches lost, yes. But I'd not call his record terrible. (Especially since this is a record 10th time playing.)

He was paired with Tiger in 2004, at Oakland Hills, and it proved to be a terrible partnership. He also lost more than a couple of points to Montgomery but damn near every one seems to lose to him, even when he's not playing well.

Europe competes well together. The US, not quite as good, in the last twenty years or so. I think Tom Watson as captain is a good thing. I like our chances, but I'm supposed to. There's a turnover going on with the US team, gone are a lot of the big names and in come some total newcomers. I'm hoping for the best but the pressure might be too much for the young kids.

Europe has some very tried and true point winners. And as I said, I think they compete well together.

Nice showing by the U.S. rookies in the first session.
But Erope looks like it has the momentum in the afternoon.

Having played with some pretty good girls...yeah it can...
What's your handicap?
I have played off as low as 6, but it is nowhere near that low now.

15. Dad always makes me play off the men's tees (says he fought in the Military for my "liberation.")

Seems fair to me!! Equal rights and all that.
So I would give you about 4 a side. Unless you tell me you hit it like Laura Davies, and from your picture, I would say you sure don't look like her.
