When I served in the military I witnessed blacks using peer pressure to pull down other blacks who were promising Non Coms because they their peers didn't want them to succeed in their own words "they werent going to be no white mans nigger" . There was only one color in my army and it was OD green and everyone had a first name Pvt,Specialist ,Sargent Lieutenant ,Captain...rank didnt define color or capability .But never in my life have I witnessed a more blatant use of social and peer pressure to maintain the so called status quo as I witnessed in sixteen years of Army service AND it was not the whites doing it ...It was blacks purpurtrating it upon each other
