Mitt plus Hispanic VP, or Mitt plus black VP

Okay, I can't get a straight answer from you fuckers, so I'll go off on a tangent. I'll predict the Republicans will gain seven seats in the Senate in the upcoming election. Anybody disagree?

yu did get an answer

you didn't like the answer you got

awesome, you turned into an asshole

well, you came to the right place, there are plenty here

toldya, you didn't like the answer

There are plenty of assholes here, no doubt. And you're one of them, no doubt. And I can be an asshole, at times, I have to admit. And I can fuck around here pulling legs and shit at times, but I'm serious about this thread, believe it or not. I guess I really want to know from minorities if it would make any difference to them at all if the Republicans nominate a minority, or if it would make no difference at all. For real.

Hell, make it a minority woman!

That would be like taking two Tylenol for brain cancer, and about as effective.

Treat the cause, not the symptoms.

Just out of curiosity, if Mitt Romney chooses to run in 2016, and again wins the nomination, would he be better off choosing an Hispanic as his running mate, or someone black, like maybe Ben Carson? Would either attract significant minority votes for him, and which would attract more? I ask because a lot of people seem to vote race or ethnicity, even though I think they shouldn't.

Bear in mind that either choice would lose him a significant number of Republican votes.

Choosing a white Anglo woman, not so much, see Sarah Palin.

Actually I am color blind. For real. Red/green deficiency.

I'll update my list of "toubab deficiencies".
:nods:

Not a very large pool to choose from.

Kindasleezy Rice (Dubya's failed National Security Advisor) and Michelle Malkin come to mind.

But would it gain him minority votes? I'm sure it would, but I'm not sure it would be enough to matter, on balance. What do you think?

I'm going off on another tangent. I've read several polls lately that say there are twice as many conservatives as liberals in the US. Several different reputable polling companies all say basically the same thing on this. Yet Obama got reelected, and more people vote for Democrats than Republicans in Congress, so what the fuck? Do people not understand what terms like liberal and conservative mean, or what?

it means people are personally SEDUCED by FREE THINGS.....

I take it you don't get it!!!!!!!!!!!

There is NO such thing as a MINORITY R!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tim Scott wasn't even INVITED to the MLK event last yr!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cain and Carson are called IDIOTS and UNCLE TOMs

Look what they did to Palin and now Martinez and to Jindal

DONT BE A DUMMY! DUMMY

look what they did to M Bachman, McMorris Rodgers, Carly Fiorina, M Whitman, Steele,

the list is endless

That isn't true at all

Here's another tangent. Democrats would have to be stupid to nominate more minorities if they already have the minority vote locked up, which they apparently do. At least the black vote. There's nothing to gain by nominating a black candidate, at this point, now that Obama has been a sad disappointment as president. Democrats are going to have to start worrying about losing even more of the white vote, it seems to me.

they will NOMINATE CuntClinton only cause she is a CUNT and her VP will be a guy named Castro....why?

Competence? NO!

Cause they are a CUNT and HISPANIC

If Rumney gets a 3RD nomination the GOP deserves for Elizabeth Warren to kick his nutz.

a D cunt

a D Hispanic

CUNTS and HISPANICS are degenerates, as are BLACKS

they allow CUNTS of the R

they allow the BLACKS of the R to be denigrated

they allow themselves to be told, WILLIAM BLAINE RICHARDSON III is a HISPANIC and S MARTINEZ isnt

Not to mention the fact that this may seem like 'pandering to the masses' in an attempt just to get votes, making Romney look weak or desperate or both. Some may fall for it, most won't.

The 'white Anglo woman'? I think people are becoming used to the idea, so they may think, "Meh." and not care.

Shorter Toubab: white people make carefully reasoned voting choices based on qualifications and ideology, while minorities just mindlessly vote for their own kind.

I call this the Mascot Theory of Politics -- the idea that a brown face selling Romney-like policies will surely make the GOP unbeatable. Ain't gonna happen.
