the last pg invasion was sucked into oblivion by their never ending threads and massive amounts of inane posters. then the german board was invaded. the charge led by byron. that one was amusing. i believe that was last summer? when blob was around. then school started and he left. it could easily be two summers ago. time has a way of flying around here.

Ohhhh, I had completely forgotten about the German invasion. Yes, that was last summer. Is there a French board? Those bitches would be easy to conquer.

I keep wavering on whether I am ready to date again. How soon is too soon? It's been 6 months since official split but we've been done for more than a year. Or do I just want an itch scratched again? And where do I meet single men who aren't college boys in a college town?

Nothing wrong with getting an itch scratched as long as you are clear about that.

I think it depends on how long you were together, and there is some sort of rule of thumb but I can't remember it. You probably won't know completely until you try it.

Figure out where the professors go, and hang out there. Around here, there are plenty of single, divorced, widowed straight male profs that are fairly easy to find if you want one. Common interests are the main thing that draws them, also if people in the academic community know you are looking, they will help.

I figure I have about a year before I even consider it...
 
It's a nice day so everyone is at the fair or trying to be at the fair. I am supposed to go help a friend move, but I am pretty much trapped here by fair traffic, I seriously cannot figure out how to get from here to there. I thought my location was bad, but at least there are back roads out of here, but my friend has no back roads, ugh...

I think it's clear - he seems all about the casual yet no bed hopping. I like that it was his stipulation instead of mine.

Ex and I were together for 11 years. Living fully apart for 6 months, but I have been knowingly headed out the door for the past 1.5 year conservatively.

Profs. Maybe. I had a biz prof after college. Maybe they hold more appeal now. Maybe I need a different subject.

I'm considering a singles activity club - they hike and bike and canoe and such. I am short a canoe, but the dog and I are liking the sounds of a hiking partner.

Don't put a time line on it, Noor. I am giving you your own advice back - you'll know when it's time. I haven't said much about your situation because I didn't really know either of you well enough to do so, but every time I log into Lit, you and Byron, what you had and what you're going through go through my head and I say a small wish for your smooth recovery. I think it's the one thing we would all wish our loved ones upon our passing - remember us, but don't let our absence stop your journey. :heart:
 
the only thing more boring than the nfl preseason is watching big college football powerhouses beating the crap out of tiny, second tier schools and acting like it's accomplishment.
