Assault on a police officer, and his belief that he faces a threat to himself or others is grounds for deadly force.
According to BB, apparently jaywalking while being fat and high is, too.

This morning's news is that twelve or more witnesses have come forward backing the Officer's story, that Brown attacked the officer in his car and then charged the officer.
What lawful order were they disobeying?More like a text book case of the press believing they don't have to obey a lawful order like everybody else.![]()
The cop did not know he shoplifted.
We can justify shootings by things not known?

That's NOT what you wrote at first, is it?
You still didn't say why you misrepresent what I wrote and still do!
I will repeat it
The DRUG INFUSED HULKING THUG was walking in middle of the road....a danger to himself and others....when told to get off.....he dissed the cop and BUM RUSHED HIM.....that's why he deserved to get shot!
and BTW, the COP didn't KNOW he was the FELON, when he said GET OFF TEH ROAD....then the call came in and the COP recognized the HULKING DRUG INFUSED HULK
If I know it...you do as well
YOU LIE
FOR WHAT REASON?
I CANT FATHOM
Let the facts unfold.
And let a jury decide them.
You bring up irrelevant inflammatory information, some of which may not be true, for reasons that we all fathom.
If the facts pan out as Vette laid out, the cop's defense is credible.
But all the bullshit you offer is designed to promote hysteria.

Seems strange the only reference to this is a tweet. This morning's news is that twelve or more witnesses have come forward backing the Officer's story, that Brown attacked the officer in his car and then charged the officer.
so you WONT answer....rather, you merely attack me, Hiya, Saul Alinski!![]()
The tweet was from Christine Byers the Crime reporter for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch:

Police sources tell me more than a dozen witnesses have corroborated cop's version of events in shooting #Ferguson
You can choose to believe her or not.

I'm just identifying you as the stereotype peddler that you are.
I don't believe that's what he meant. He said yesterday that Brown bum rushed the officer head down.

There are plenty of people who just don't get the fact that the news media in general have a vested interest in sensationalism. Blowing the story up sells papers, increases viewership and ad revenue.
The individual reporters are interested in getting bylines, face time on camera. They are more interested in getting the story first than they are in getting it right.
We have lousy reporters these days. Chet Huntley was the most trusted man in America. There isn't a reporter I can think of today who could crack the top 1,000.
Take the "police are throwing tear gas at us" sensation early in this event. The reporters were in among the rioters. I suspect the police were throwing tear gas at the rioters. But the egocentric reporters feel it was being thrown at them personally, and for "evil" purposes.
Being told to turn off the lights isn't suppressing the press. The lights A) ruin the officer's night vision and B) make them better targets. Since people started shooting at the officers the first day, I wouldn't want the lights on me either if I was an officer there.
Probably to disperse, clear the street, or turn off their lights.
