"Tiffany Mitchell, another eyewitness to the Michael Brown shooting in Ferguson last weekend, spoke out on CNN tonight. She told Don Lemon she saw Brown trying to pull away from the officer moments before he was shot. This comes days after a friend of Brown’s who witnessed the shooting said the police officer is “guilty of murder.”

Mitchell said Brown had started running from the police officer, and the officer ran after him, firing his gun. Then, she said, “the kid’s body jerked as if he was hit from behind and he turned around and he puts his hands up like this and the cop continued to fire, and he just dropped down to the ground.”

She described the officer in question as a tall, white male, and told Lemon she heard at least five or six shots.

And in addition, another person connected to Mitchell, who she was picking up in the neighborhood, was also witness to the shooting, and Mitchell’s lawyer said her account provides the same information about what happened that day."

This is an excellent witness, in my opinion. Extremely credible. The police officer involved in this shooting is entitled to being considered innocent until proven guilty under our law, but I now believe he's in very deep trouble. This witness alone should be enough to send him to prison for a very long time, in my opinion. She's the kind of witness a prosecutor will love.

I think it's too early to give an opinion, but the way it appears so far to me is that Brown was murdered for walking in the street.

I don't think it's too early to give an opinion, based on my experience in doing all kinds of investigations, including shootings, and having taken thousands of witness statements over many years. This witness is about as good as they get. I believe her, and I think a jury will also. She's convinced me the cop is guilty of murder. Probably not first degree, but murder.

Forensics should be able to determine quite easily whether or not he was shot from behind. If he was, then the LEO is quite rightly screwed. If he was not, then the witnesses are brought into question. I'm waiting for more information to come out.

In the meantime, it would be nice if people could peacefully protest without stealing and burning property.

I would bet my left nut this witness is telling the truth. The autopsy results will be strong evidence of that, unless all my years of experience are worth nothing.

Holy shit. I agree with you.

Are you campaigning for DA of the GB or something?

You have a left nut?

No, I just find these cases interesting. This witness is virtually the opposite of Rachel Jeantel, who was a terrible witness for the prosecution in the Zimmerman case, and I thought I'd give my opinion on the matter here.

C'mon...

...stop with the pseudo-modesty crap and get back to campaign mode:

First time anyone on this board has said anything about me being modest, or even pseudo-modest. But no, I'm not campaigning for anything here. Just throwing in my two cents, like everyone else.

Did you catch the press conference?

;)

Very interesting, very careful, very much hinting that our model college-bound innocent youth was involved in a strong-arm robbery. Darren Wilson had to go to the hospital for injuries sustained and I do not think the corpse did it.

No, I didn't see the press conference. I take it the name of the police officer is Darren Wilson. I knew the officer had gone to the hospital for treatment of a jaw injury. Wouldn't be surprised if Brown punched him.

No matter if Brown was involved in a strong-arm robbery, or if he punched the officer; if the witness I've referred to is correct, the officer is guilty of murder.

Maybe. But now credibility goes back to the police who say Treyv..., er, (D) innocent Ute, went for the officer's gun and at least one shot was fired in the patrol car. At that point adrenaline and self-preservation take over. Additionally, the six-year veteran of the force had a clean record.

Trayvon made the same mistake, letting George batter him with his head as he fled.

I think it's quite possible Brown went for the officer's gun, but if the officer shot Brown in the back as he was running away, then shot him again after he stopped, turned around, and raised his hands, that's murder.

no way. the board racists are on the side of the white cop. i'm simply stunned and stuff.

Uh oh they have pix of Michael Brown robbing the convenience store. Lotsa 6-4, 294 pound negroes out on the streets.
