Wake for Byron: All that and a bag of chips...

My grandmother died of an abdominal aortic aneurysm and my father had one repaired. Dad's docs told him to make sure his brother, my brother and myself should be checked, because they often passed down genetically. They are fast and very dangerous.

I'm sorry this happened to him.

About all that and a bag of chips

One day I jokingly asked if I could keep him and he was a bit taken aback.
There was a long pause and he said "Do you really think I am all that and a bag of chips?"
I wasn't familiar with the expression so I asked what it meant.
He explained in great detail what it meant, where it came from, how it is used and then said "well?"
I said "Yes."
He did a happy laugh and I have been using the expression for him ever since.

Abdominal bleed, very fast.

If there is a "good" way to go, that would be it. Patient1 said Byron died sitting in front of his computer... if that's the case, then Byron probably died happy doing something that he enjoyed. We should all be so lucky.

I'm glad you are relieved and comforted knowing Byron didn't suffer. We always imagine the worst, don't we? Luckily we are often wrong. :rose:

Wow, just wow.

:(

I hope it was a Pink Floyd clip; that would be fitting...

That reminds me, I just perused an old Q thread...

;)

At one point Byron had a small hissy fit over the poor quality and poor choices for my AVs, so he made one for me, I forget which alt is was, but from there on out, he made all my AVs for all of my alts, he even wanted to do one for 4est, but using Hanks just doesn't seem to fit me and nothing else really screams 4est Gump, but I just wanted to throw out that memory because when I threw out my old alts, he carefully dusted them and put them up on his shelf or in his bag of tricks, however you want to look at it.

Personally, I would make sure MarkovCain had an alibi for the 3rg and 4th of July because I never really trusted that fawker.

:D

Never thought I would be missing those hissy fits ...

Hell, I might even watch Game of Thrones with him a couple times, if that doesn't bring him back, nothing will :(

I'm telling you, with my current state of poor health, it sure makes me appreciate my life a lot more...

:(

... I realize that I could go any time too.

I guess I am telling more people that I care about them and declutterring my stuff.
If I died in the next few minutes, my family wouldn't know where to find anything.
Byron's stuff was pretty much neat and tidy and still...

I also am signing out of sites more, and not keeping myself logged in if I am inactive.
Byron had a bunch of stuff open and logged into when he died.

Also trying to be consistent with checking in with people.

There were times he made me want to smash my face into my keyboard but he was a Kate Bush fan, so that trumps all.
