I just pulled everything out of my freezer and reorganized it. I had no idea I had so many bags of steam-in-bag broccoli and asparagus.

We have a disturbing amount of things in common.
I'm not sure that's a good thing. ;)

Hmm.

See, at first thought it seems like a great idea, but it won't stop the main problem of entitled assholes turning their phones on to check the time or whatever and having the screen glare be an instant homing beacon of distraction in the darkness.

What we need is some sort of tech that actually shuts them down cold for the duration of the flick, from the trailers 'til the credits sequence.

Hmmm how about a TSA checkpoint, they could remove the batteries and you get them back when the movies over lol

I swear, every ID show makes one want to never ever get married.

Or even be in a relationship.

Or have money.

Or have relatives

And never ever ever talk to anyone on the internets

I thought it was funny though when the police found out that the dude who used a *gasp* fake name on an adult site ended up being married and were totally shocked!!

Dinner at 9 on a Saturday and it is about 90. Wtf, Seattle. This is not us.

Just ate my NY steak (med-rare, of course). The kale and mushrooms were very nice.

BTW, it's a delightful 63 outside, here.

Mrs t is headed down that way on Monday. I told her to pack the sun hat. You guys are in for some hot weather for the next 10 days.

For you I'll cross over. Hi Sinny.

Hi, Killy. :curedmeats:

I have zero idea wtf is going on, but we are in the 90s all week. First heat advisory issued since 2009, the year we hit 100. What. The fuck.

Sinny don't need no Polish Vortex.....She's hot in her own right

He did after he saw me pull chorizo out of the grocery sack.
It is so hot, I went grocery shopping at 8 pm.
We are pussies in the heat.

A fine selection.
Vodka tonics here. Roadhead is offering a second and I am thinking I should.

I'm a puss above 70°F outside. Glad to read RH is doing well. Take the drink!

Last weekend, we were at the cabin and the OAT got up to almost fucking 90°F. Thank God for refrigeration and Coldfoot Pilsner.

Co-habitation suits us. I think my family likes him better than they like me. We are traveling with the extended family next week for a vacation and the brothers-in-law who never call me have been checking in with him daily about what to bring along. Sorta cute they all have bro crushes.

Make sure they bring good shit. Beef needs to be USDA prime. Beer should be decent. Etc........

It was a good week.

On arrival, in the wake of the high that shoved Arthur offshore I did the annual 7-miler through the swamp. As I re-discovered (for the umpteenth time), the humidity really can be debilitating and I knew it was a case of "now or never." It was a case of "out of the car and on to the path."

The remaining days saw attempts at repetition but there's a limit to my abilities when the humidity is north of 80%. 3½ miles is about all I can do in those conditions.

They even got me up on a damn surfboard. There are photographs to prove it.

The last day saw a mini-triathlon with a run in the morning, bicycling at mid-day and swimming in the afternoon.

BTW, Laurel, I saw Snowpiercer the other night and liked it. Islandman hated it, but he hates all the fun summer movies, so we're not gonna count his vote. :D

What a grumpyface he is! :( It's not Bresson, but it's a damn fine action flick. Shades of Fifth Element, kinda gritty. You can't get think about it too much because there's lots of illogical plot stuff. Just enjoy the rollercoaster. :D Glad you enjoyed! :rose:

Speaking of films - you can take this with a grain of salt because I am a rabid Alex de la Iglesia fan from way back, since the superduperbtrilliantamazing "Accion Mutante" (though even I will admit that "As Luck Would Have It" was awful), but this is THE movie of the summer:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2404738/

The opening scene is a MUST-SEE.
