Let's face it. Islam IS very bad to women. I'm sure you have heard of Sharia Law and "honor" killings and the way women are treated, even in some relatively modern Muslim countries.

I'm not saying about the hijab. I see many women wearing the head scarf and have no negative thoughts about the garment. But what about the burka? Given the chance, the Taliban kill women who do not wear them.

Do you really believe the Islamic treatment of women is defensible?

More accurately religion is bad for women. The only reason Christians are better for women than Islam is because Christians by and large don't actually believe their own bullshit and feel freer to cobble together their bullshit however they please. Muslims on the other hand could quite possibly be tamed if a charismatic leader showed up.

I'm not a fan of the south, I was fucking miserable in TX, NC, GA, KY and TN. But the food and jams....they do have some epic grub and jams in the south. Fuck pretty much everything else about it though.

I think everybody agrees with you on this. Though sometimes we have limited choices, we aren't going to invade everyplace that's filled with douchebags and there is only so much you can accomplish via sanctions. Worse since it's shown that as education (especially amongst women) increases violence (especially towards women) decreases lowering the amount of resources these people have available to them isn't all rainbows and unicorns.
