Anyone remember this tv show where the group of them are traveling from one universe to another and each is very different? I was thinking of writing a series of stories with that premise but making each universe sexually charged in it's own special way. Ideas for universes would be awesome.

Well, the obvious is to have a world like this.

Alternately, a world where everyone is bi, or *insert fetish* is standard.

they slide into diffrent sexual universes.
1. homosexual realtionships or the norm and hetro is tabboo.
2. BDSM universe where vanillia sex is considered strange.

Indeed.

Perhaps a world where free love or swinging culture became mainstream?

I think they did episodes with gendercide, but there's no reason you can't do your own spin on an all-male or all-female world. There's the old chestnut of the misogynytopia where women are slaves, or a vice versa.

Most of the worlds really weren't all that different actually. I have a theory about interdimensional travel that suggests that each person has a specific resonance and when traveling the multiverse you're naturally drawn to parts that have a similar resonance to yourself. The more people you travel with the stronger the resonance the more likely you are to end up on a similar world. It's only answer that explains why given that idea of the Multiverse hinges on the idea that every single choice made creates a new universe. One where your parents never met, one where they never had you, one where no fish was ever brave enough to crawl up on land etc etc, that the Sliders constantly ended up in worlds very similar to their own. Given the sheer magnitude of choices they should never have wandered into a world where their doppelgangers had left and the only difference was the squeaky gate at Quinns house. This holes true of almost all stories like that. Generally you fine worlds with evil twins but you never seem to stumble into worlds where the French became dominant in the colonies and remained on good terms with the Americans to the present day, no worlds where WW2 didn't happen. You almost never stumble into a world where someone in your direct line of ancestors never met and thus you aren't there.

They did have a world where all the men had been killed. Some kind of virus if I remember right was set lose during a war and women literally fight for breeding rights and the Canadains and Russians are trying to kidnap the heroes because men are incredibly rare and needed for studding.

It's an interesting premise but unless you're using controlled sliding of some sort (they know what they're getting into before they get into it) it's gonna be interesting explaining how they keep ending up on kinky planet and rarely on boring planet. Though you could handwave it the same way the series does by heavily implying that we only see them when they land on an interesting new world and never when they repeat a world and never when they land on an Earth that's mundane and they simply wait for the timer to send them to the next world.

Yeah i loved the woman dominated world, austrila became a super power.

Antoher plot that could have an intreasting twist was when they slid to a world where Q ball was a female.

I found the world where Q was a girl to be a bit absurd given the rules they had established.

A good one for this might be that hippy world where Wade and Rembrant were greeted as gods by a bunch of flower children. And they once landed on a planet that had, presumably cannibals. It was cold open and they told Wade next time she meets a local boy don't smile at him but they never explain beyond it.

Sliders - I loved that show. This is a very interesting thread. *nods*
