FAWC 5: Line, Please!

You obviously blew them pl, blew them away with your story that is.

I snuck a last minute entry in for my first FAWC, but I had to rush it at the last minute (didn't realize the midnight deadline wasn't PST). Looking forward to seeing the stories written by everyone else who accepted the challenge!

Everybody knows how I won. I blew the judges.

Now that all the stories are pending, I'll go ahead and list the authors who contributed to this FAWC. They are listed in no particular order.

Holy cow! That's fantastic! Lots of reading to do.

Murders' Row.

It's going to be nigh impossible to guess correctly on more than a few of the authors, except possibly for those very experienced of you who've seen each other's work more. Or maybe you experienced folk don't do much reading you're so busy writing? Anyway, I'm looking forward to the stories and to the comment period afterwards. The guessing part, that will be a bit like grading by throwing the stack of papers down the stairs to see which one makes it farthest... Maybe there should be a virtual jelly bean prize for the person who gets the most correct matches.

What we've seen in the past has been pretty interesting, and often funny. I believe my writing has been mistaken for that of sr71plt, TxTallTales, BuckyDuckman and even PennLady and Lynn. I'm always a little amused when someone thinks one of my stories was written by a woman. ;)

Hey, I write love stories. I belong on no such list.

(I say this as I'm thawing the rat to feed the corn snake.)

I'm pretty sure I'll get them mostly wrong and the ones I get right will be by chance.

If that isn't some kind of sexual euphemism, it should be.

Well, he didn't eat it, so you might be right. (See post at the top of the page. Grumble, grumble). Funny, the snakes in my Valentine's Day story ate when they were supposed to.

Maybe the snake decided to go vegan.

The rest of it...no comment!

In the past my writing was consistently mistaken for sr71plt's! and I had one of his more romantic stories ascribed to me, so you can tell we are twins really. Seeing who people think wrote your story is one of the most entertaining parts of the FAWC.
:)

No changes on the submissions page. That's not surprising, considering how late in the day yesterday I submitted the stories. I'm anticipating a Saturday posting date at the earliest.

I think they'll post today. But the New list doesn't typically go up on a given day for three more hours from now.

Maybe Laurel didn't want to jinx the exercise, today being Friday the 13th.

Naw, today would be a *great* day to post them: not only is it Friday the 13th, it's a full moon! A great night to misbehave and let your ...hair...down. ;)

Just don't read any stories featuring premarital sex by a lake! :O
