I've always wondered that.

There was a story about that in an anthology of the greatest sales folks of the 20th century.

A guy got a thankless job selling a beer that nobody ever heard of...Corona...to bars. He came up with the idea of serving it with lime, and sold it as "that's how the oh-so-trendy places in Mexico serve it".

As I recall, the guy made something like ten million dollars in commissions with that inspired bit of goofiness.
