Thanks for the good wishes, and my own to all the other moms out there.

I hope it was everything my daughter wanted, she was very excited and wanted it to be "the best Mother's Day ever!" (She's six.) I received a book, a movie, and some very nice hand-made cards. Also, breakfast in bed.

My family is so sweet.

It isn't done yet (because the artist is recovering from surgery), but for Mother's Day, I am getting my Lit avatar painted by the tattoo artist that did hubby's tattoo. (I'm too chicken for the tattoo!)

The artist is a former student of mine. He told me recently that when people ask him how he started tattooing, he tells them about how his Spanish teacher encouraged his art in high school. The kid couldn't speak Spanish worth a damn, but boy, could he draw.

The butterfly in the picture is the one my kids and I raised from a caterpillar last summer.

It's special all the way around.

Going back to enjoying the quiet for a few minutes while I read another FAWC story.

Because it would really only cater to one category I would think.

However many things could be done with the theme. Maybe for mother's day this year mom wants her hubby to bring her home another guy or girl to play with....there are plenty of things that can be done, but let's face it 99% of the stories would be incest.

Personally, I think they easily open up just as many, non-incest, avenues as, say, Earth Day or Nude Day. I see moms and dads all the time, and my mind rarely travels down an incestuous route. I watch shows and read books that frequently feature parents and parenting, and rarely do I think, "I sure hope they fuck."

Maybe I'm doing it wrong.

You're right, plenty of ideas, but again....it would end up an incest fest. Its the road most easily traveled and many authors would choose to take it. Personally I could think of some great ideas for a mature romance type story
