Marvel: The Mutant Outbreak (OOC)

How did Sandman know who Peter was? Even assuming his mask came off during the battle (which isn't mentioned, it's only mentioned that Peter did bother with a mask in the first place) this new origin story doesn't give Marco a chance to meet Parker face to face prior so he wouldn't recognize him even if it did happen. If Peter explained the entire scenario after nearly killing Sandman. . .well I guess that works but it's really not clear that he did that.

I think my idea was that Peter had confronted him about killing his uncle. All he would have needed to say was, "You killed my uncle!" But I was pretty tired when I wrote it, lol.

Hey! I'm new to this forum so forgive me if just posting on a thread isn't kosher.

I was curious if you were still looking for more people for the story? I definitely need to do a bit of research on what heroines marvel has but before I put too much work in I thought I'd confirm whether there is room for me or not.

Thanks and sorry for the intrusion! :)

I guess this is still early enough in Marco's career that it means something to him? there might not be a lot of things that I loved about the Street Fighter cartoon and Movie from the 90's but this always resonated with me.

Cammy: You killed my parents!
*Fight ensues, Cammy is losing. Enter Chun Li!*
Chun Li: You killed my father!
Bison: What is it with you women and complaining I killed your parents? I killed my parents to and you don't see me crying about it.

And this one

Chun Li: [to Bison] It was twenty years ago. You hadn't promoted yourself to general yet. You were just a petty drug lord. Huh! You and your gang of murderers gathered your small ounce of courage to raid across the border for food... weapons...
[indicates her binds]
Chun Li: ... hmph. Slave labor. My father was the village magistrate. A simple man with a simple code: justice. He gathered the few people that he could to stand against you.
[laughs]
Chun Li: You and your bullies were driven back by farmers with pitchforks! My father saved his village at the cost of his own life. You had him shot as you ran away! A hero... at a thousand paces.
Bison: I'm sorry. I don't remember any of it.
Chun Li: You don't remember?
Bison: For you, the day Bison graced your village was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Tuesday.

There was more than one? The crappy one on USA, not any of the movies. Of which I've only seen two (Street Fighter II, a genuine classic and Street Fighter Alpha, it's not the worst thing ever) but I've heard of at least two more a tie in with SFIV and some other one.

Shoot a few more women (and Jeff cutting down from an entire team to just a character) and we won't have to force our limited ladies to double and triple up.

For the sake of making my point we currently have five intros and nobody has met anybody else. This is suppsoed to be an RP not a vanity writing circle. (Good job by the by Creo, can't promise nobody's upset that someone as high up the food chain as Carnage seems to be quite dead already but hey whatevs.)

Yes to all the ladies who want to play :).

And there was also the anime series called Street Fighter V or something. It focused mostly on teenage Ryu and Ken traveling the world and gradually revealed other characters as the plot thickened, from what I remember. In this version, Dhalsim teaches Ryu Hadouken.

have the series

have the street fighter movie with chun lee shower scene

also have generations (?) the one where he fights akuma which also talks about akuma history

Sean

If you want I can post where my character sees those guys running away and investigate it

Wow, you're right I did forget about Street Fighter V. That was actually pretty good until they got into the story a bit too deep, the final fights are attrocious and considering how great the early ones were, complete with Ryu and Ken being good but not great (they get schooled by Guile, taught by Dhalsim, Ken barely beats Vega (and passes out right after) I meant the crappy one. I had forgotten about Street Fighter V: Adventure in Kowoloon Castle Gotta Burn Some Muscle! :D

If Jeff doesn't have a problem I'd be quite happy to have you investigate. Cus beyond you I'm limited to magically breaking into a court room to help Shulkie, busting into the Bugle to. . .get interviewed. (I'm not busting on you Creo) and finishing of the villain Spidey was kind enough to leave behind.

The sooner we can start getting the gang together in some way of fashion the happier I'll be.

Took me forever, but I finally read through the posts, and I have a few questions/issues:

So... Kris just knows things without having to actually learn them? Even Tony Stark has to spend at least a few minutes reading up on a subject before he becomes familiar with it. The only way Kris could suddenly know things he didn't previously is if A: He gains a photographic memory and can recall everything he's ever experienced; B: He is psychic and can absorb the knowledge from other people; or C: His brain can suddenly connect to the internet. More than likely, if the answer is A, he suddenly begins to recall images of the textbook pages he was looking at when studying and the answers become plain as day. Also, you said the word "test" way too many times, LOL.

I also noticed he was able to figure out Iron Man's exosuit tecnology just by looking at it, and then a Hammer Tech guy just happened to be strolling through the junk yard where Kris was testing the suit and offered him money and a job for a clunky, over-sized suit? I'm a bit confused, lol.

Other than those things, my other major problems are the inclusion of Carnage when Venom hasn't even spawned any children yet. And why did Cletus Kasady (you spelled his last name wrong), who has had these powers, even let himself get arrested and go through the months-to-years long process of a trial? And why on earth did you kill him off? LOL. And why does the courtroom not gasp at the fact that Jennifer has likely ripped through all her clothes and is standing there naked? And why does she seem so easy to adapt to her new status as a mutant? And why doesn't anyone mention that it might be the virus that changed her -- doesn't anyone watch the news? LOL.

I must confess, while reading through the posts, I did say out loud, "What the fuck?" and raise my hands up a few times, lol.

I was going to add that the hammer tech guy was there so he could try to steal his parents prototype suits along with other items of value.

sorry for saying test one to many times

question would tony stark be infected with the virus before he made his suits and that is how he made them. or something entirely different

if he made it them before, as his said about his parents tried to copy it but never was able to do it.

At first I was thinking Tony Stark hadn't become Iron Man yet, but since he is in the IC now, we can say he built the suits to fight the mutants. So, no, his intelligence did not come from the virus. He was born a genius.

I just assumed the Iron Man kid had the same powers as Micah from Heroes. I believe the term is Technopath.

A Technopath can manipulate technology with his mind, but unless he can absorb data like words and numbers, it wouldn't give him any real knowledge. Like, when Micah synced with the ATM, I doubt he suddenly knew every single name and account number in the system, lol. He just made the machine spit out the money from it's holding chamber, lol.

You might be right about Micah though it's been a while since I saw that series and I may have imagined him more powerful than he actually was though.

would Existence Manipulation be considered to be op

Probably, but describe it just to be sure.

I had for a moment considered a power I'm calling Schrodingering. Basically like Shrodinger from Hellsing and based on the cat. If your looking at him he's pretty much normal but if you can't confirm he's at a given location he's not there unless he feels like being there and unless you can confirm he's not at a given location he might be there.

So it's like teleporting . ..with stage fright.

I agree with Sean, you would need to describe it better before I approve it, lol. It does sound like it would be a bit OP, though.
