A Poet Walks Into a Bar . . .

I read it and it made me think of you as Ingrid Bergman in Casablanca. Just sayin. :)
i so was :D

Aww...poor baby...but when I saw it you were long gone already, so I didn't comment...and it was odd that I saw it relatively early, too....had one of those 24-hr things and called in to work last night.
hope you feel better! :rose:
and i was only playing about the goodnights :D

Ooops sorryyyyyy I got caught up with twizzle sticks. cherries and drama queens (quite a combination I can tell you!)
i saw

well it's beer o'clock, i'll pass on the peanuts, and all of a sudden i'm hungry for music... music to soothe the savage breast into forgetfulness of the hurts and sorrows, music that takes over my feet, my hands, my spine, hips and shoulders...

if music be the food of love
oh look, ma, i have a recorder!

I have an instrument :D dance baby, let it all hang out.

*Looks around and leaves a note on the bar*

Dear butters - I'm regretting I posted a controversial reply on Tsotha's thread. Most of what I said I felt strongly about needing to say it. if I'd seen Senna's horrible name-calling earlier I would have posted a rant in his direction as well. You are justified in your anger and I regret that you may think I was in any way defending him. I am sorry Tsotha gave me such power to have an effect on his presence in the forum. I enjoy reading him and maybe I should have said something about his writing sooner. It seems I put my foot in it big time, though, so I'm here to mend some bridges.

Dear Annie - Please start up your challenges in the Would You? thread again. I enjoyed writing to your quirky directions.

Dear Tsotha - My indiscretion and my misunderstanding of how strongly you feel about the moderation situation is a real regret to me. Please excuse my insensitivity.

Dear Harry - Thank you for your defence of my post, your attempt to defuse the bomb is appreciated.

*dancin', clappin' an' shakin' bits*

*pauses, midsip, mouth agape*

Just now seeing this, is that the shimmy you're doing? Awesome :cattail:

Totally agree...*wolf whistle*

hah, now if i should sit a cocktail shaker in my cleavage we'd be in business ;)

*pauses to swallow before starting to drool*

Should be good for increased business, especially if the shaker has ice in it.

Ummm...psst...that would be a good thing, not an  or

:devil::cool:

Here, for those who are 70s rock fans. Since you introduced me to King Crimson.

Raving
I will not seek
Hope
On the horizon
Nor quench
The thirst for the future
On the fountain of the past
I hope for nothing
And I want it all
I am who plays
I am who dances
Who in the orchestra
Plays out of tune

Who raves
Without fever
The pair
And partner
Of truths
Against distrust

what an interesting fusion of sounds!

are these the translated lyrics, tso?

Yes; I translated the lyrics because I thought it wouldn't be very useful to post the source material. ;) There are other beautiful songs by Secos & Molhados, including "Rosa de Hiroshima" ("Rose of Hiroshima").
