*shrugs, keeps organizing*
I'm not a fully fledged bartender, just the help while Harry is out and about. Too soon to have a flashy 'tender story, I think, and the others... Too blue. What about you, my faithful patron? Got a story?

*soft smile*
ah, my story... started off bright beautiful blue, grew golds and sunshine, greens and laughter . . . grey took its toll and a false midnight sun bloomed only to wink out in burning clouds of acrid stench in a nuclear winter... then a pale new dawn, a lighter rain, new growth and a rainbow... constellations and a twinned planet, a surprise collision course, a future of many hues, blue and yellow sweet music, sweet waters... it's lookin' good. and that's my story. guess it's a case of 'what doesn't kill us makes us stronger'.
*nods* By enduring, grow strong.
I envy the way your story rolled out. Beautiful, too.

love comes quietly
there is no grand parade, no clarion call
for magic happens in quiet quarters
small gestures, in the catching of an eye
back alleyways, the vistas of a sigh
in dusk's cool plums - that backdrop to starlight
and mists across the moon on autumn nights.
laughter, warm and fresh, can swell a heart
enmesh it, happily, and two hands held
in firelight's soft red and embered glow
will hold the memory of that touch although
the snow lays all around, and freezing hail
vies with the bitter wind to no avail.
Time teaches us best listen to the breeze
for truths are small and love comes
quietly.

Hm, I wish I'd been so inspired for my cousin's wedding.
care for a drink, or isn't it encouraged on duty?![]()
*tentative sip*Oh, I don't think the boss will mind.
*taps finger on the counter, thinking for a moment, then proceeds to prepare a caipirinha. Slices lemon and then presses it in a wooden cup with a pestle. Pours the juice, sugar and ice cubes into a glass, and completes it with vodka. Sips, passes the cup to butters*
A bit sour, a bit sweet.

*tentative sip*
oooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. i approve![]()
I still need to test your suggestion of using... I forget the name in English. The bubbly, tonic water?
tonic waterhttp://www.thebeveragestore.com/med...08d6e5fb8d27136e95/s/c/schweppesdiettonic.jpg
it almost tastes as if it's a V&T all on its own. dry, fizzy, crisp... a hit of quinine
Ah, indeed, tonic water.I thought you'd used another name for it last time, though; maybe a brand name, then...
Schweap's?
Oh, no, that one is in the picture up there. Can't remember. Don't bother, though — if tonic water works, then it's fine.![]()
*looks around, finishes drink, turns off the lights and steps outside*

Lol schoolgirl French ........ the pen of my aunt or my aunt's pen!
Please don't put tonic water in any of my drinks, horrid stuff and IMO a sacrilegious thing to do to a good gin
Today, which is not like any other....
is pretty much the same
