A Poet Walks Into a Bar . . .

I think I just became staff.
lol - hang around long enough, you become part of the furniture! still, Tess has a way with a can of polish and a soft cloth that brings a smile to many a patron's face. Or so i hear

ooh, that looks nice. kicking back after a long day, mr R?

More like taking a bit of a break before heading out for the evening. Went to a movie, ferried my stepson to and from his clinical studies, and grabbed the girl we babysit off her schoolbus (Sat school to fill in unscheduled snowdays)...seems like it's been a busier Sat than usual for some reason, but not really a long day, per se

Feels longer as I work on these last daily poems, though

looks like a lot of to-ing and fro-ing. what movie did you go see? did the bus driver object to your child-snatching tendencies? you deserve that drink :D

well it was something about polish . . . french polishing, i think. And then there's the feather duster.......

we don't talk about that too often. it tends to create queues.

Hmm...wonder where I am on the to be furniture queue?

Rowan and two of the kids wanted to check out "Divergent" since they had all read the series. I found it to be a passable, formulaic but not in a bad way, slightly dystopian adventure/coming of age movie. But it has made me want to check out the books.

Have to finish this Mercedes Lackey novel I'm reading first, though.

Indeed. Just what I was thinking

Hey now...I haven't spruced up my mind enough for visitors. Or is that part of the local gestalt at work?

Oh, I can see why. And I'm never here when she's on duty. *sigh*

You mean there is wood, and wood? :)

*ponders the possible meanings of "top up". Proceeds to refill butters' glass*

Oui, mademoiselle.

i could use a little one to one language coaching :p

changing the subject, there's a film on tonight with Tilda Swinton as the mother of a disturbed child in We need to talk about Kevin. Looks really good and she's one of my favourite actresses.

Not really, but I've watched others doing it a lot.

you're a natural :D
all bartenders have a story, though they rarely get to voice them being so busy allowing others to ramble on... what's yours, T?

*observes, shuts up*

*shrugs, keeps organizing*

I'm not a fully fledged bartender, just the help while Harry is out and about. Too soon to have a flashy 'tender story, I think, and the others... Too blue. What about you, my faithful patron? Got a story?
